I posted my review right after having my negative experience.
The restaurant within a day publicly responds with an offer for me to fill out a form on their website, so they can apologize in person?
This is code for: "The poster is an anonymous internet troll lying, and we want to confront this coward in person - let it be known to anyone viewing that we have integrity and the poster has none."
I really do not respect restaurants that do this kind of grandstanding. It's just a way to save face while minimizing the complaint.
Another option would be to ask the waiter if what happened is true. I posted the review, the day and the time I went to the restaurant, and a copy of my receipt, and it was 1 day ago.
If true, refund the item for the pasta, and then come to google reviews and announce to everyone how you refunded one entree.
Another option is to just ignore my review completely and take your 1 star review.
If you believe that your chef accidentally put cellophane in my meal, is this the way to handle it?
Also, what happens if I show up in person to accept your face to face apology? Sounds intimidating.
-- Had a piece of cellophane in my wife’s sausage and pasta dish.
I placed it on an unused butter knife and discretely asked the waiter to tell the chef. I heard a waiter tell another waiter “plastico” but that is all.
Everyone pretended nothing happened.
I didn’t want to make a fuss in front of my kids and it’s my wife’s birthday.
Acknowledgement would have been good enough for me because I really did want the kitchen to know.
An apology would have been appropriate.
Import note: It’s disgusting that they cooked plastic and it made me wonder if my shrimp cerviche was handled with care. Monday at 4:30 p.m. (very slow). They probably wrap their sausages in cellophane and should just be careful. It made me wonder if they just heat packaged meals.
The fact that I politely mentioned it to the waiter probably resulted in my feedback being ignored. I left with a strong impression that only two waiters knew of the problem and feedback wasn’t given to anyone.
I will no longer go here. I have gone here and recommended this place for 20 years. I used to think the food was a bit expensive, but a pretty...

They have some of the freshest vegetables in town and you can definitely tell that all meals are made to order using the freshest ingredients. What I love about this place is it can be considered casual dining and be appropriate to celebrate a special occasion. Their cocktail menu is very good. My personal favorite is the cucumber martini. This fabulous drink has a Ketel One Cucumber Mint Vodka base, a fresh Cucumber slice, freshly squeezed Lime, a touch Liquid Alchemist Ginger, and for added spice a Tajin Rim. This is my go to drink in the hot summer months and well for that matter the hot fall. It is very refreshing but be warned you cannot taste the alcohol so it does sneak up on you if you're not careful. They've recently added a new dish mahi-mahi, served on top of creamy potatoes with a side of the freshest green beans you will ever taste. They have an excellent selection of soups, burgers, sandwiches, and other signature dishes. This place has been around for 45 years and once again is the "freshest" restaurants in the city. I continuously use the word fresh in my review because this is what everything tastes like. Fresh. They also have a very good vegan section with plenty of selections, which if I was vegan would definitely come here due to the freshness of their vegetables. I highly recommend this restaurant for every day dining all the way to special occasion dining. They have a beautiful sunroom where you can eat. They have their normal dining room on the first floor, and a very cool bar and lounge on the second floor. Such a great place...
Read moreThe food was excellent and so was the waiting staff. The parking situation is absurd. More than 50% of the lot was reserved for valet parking and was not being used while the remaining spots were difficult to find. The valet service, even though, for my convenience, it is not something I prefer to use because of a baby in the car, it is better for me to park the car and then take out the baby, rather than grabbing everything quickly while there is a long line of cars behind me. The front-desk is abysmal at seating, they are inattentive and are terrible at managing the online reservation system. We had reserved our spot in the line and were told that we would be seated in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later, the virtual line had not moved. On approaching the front-desk again, I saw a walk-in with a similar party size be seated immediately. On inquiring as to why the virtual line had not moved, the person at the front desk said that they will text me. Another 15 minutes later, still no text or change in our place in the online reservation system, so we decided to wait near the front-desk. Lo and behold, we were seated in 5 minutes. I think this is a prime example of how not to use technology, which is "supposed" to make you more efficient. The inefficiencies remain and I end up getting a seat at the table 45 minutes later. Regardless, excellent waiting staff and meal. Would love to visit again if operational excellence is also...
