First of all I rarely post these reviews and I know a lot of people say that but I felt the need to post about my experience today at the KFC at Louetta and 249. My experience at this Kentucky was absolutely horrible today. Went through the drive-thru and was asking specific questions about items and the person on the microphone who I later learn was the manager Veronica was absolutely impatient and abrupt. I' tried to overlook her attitude and simply place my order and when I received my order at the window I was greeted by another worker who seemed pretty agitated because of my exchange with Veronica at the drive-thru microphone. Not friendly at all. Again I overlooked that because we often see that in fast food restaurants unfortunately. When I received my food which was a two-piece crispy dinner the chicken was absolutely horrible, dry, and barely any batter on it. I regret not taking a pic!!! I honked the horn and the manager Veronica came back to the window and I told her that I needed fresher chicken at least better than what I was given She was absolutely rude! She cut me off, talking over me and basically said it will be 30 minutes for chicken. I'm hoping that the district manager check any tapes and a microphone and see the interaction . I tried to show grace but she was extremely agitated because I asked for better chicken. It was absolutely unacceptable for any restaurant to serve Fried Chicken the way serve to me today. When I told her 30 minutes was unreasonable to wait for fresh chicken or at least for her to try to find me better pieces she got upset and just told me she would give me my money back and I kindly accepted. Managers like her need to go to an in-service or manager training to learn how to interact with customers better. There was no language. She just chose to be honery and rude. Itcis because of her that I will not frequent that restaurant anymore at least when she's the manager on duty. I've been to this KFC before and have never encountered her or the male worker that was working with her today. The other staff seem to be pretty nice but the food and the service that I received today was absolutely horrible and I'm really surprised that I was still able to maintain my composure although her disposition was unacceptable to be a manager level. I called back to the restaurant after getting my refund and asked for her district managers name. She told me she didn't know that person's name. If KFC is reading this review I strongly encourage you to please train her better if you will continue employing her at...
Read moreI feel compelled to share by experience from today.
You see, I have childhood memories of KFC being great. My father would buy KFC nearly every Mother's Day so my mom would have to cook dinner. It wasn't the best, but we all enjoyed it. Today was very different.
I want to the KFC on Louetta and 249 (for the first time in about 5 years). I downloaded the app and ordered ahead. We arrived, and they told me that my order had already been picked up - but I am me, and I didn't get it. They said they'd re-make it - no problem.
I asked for for our cups. The drink machine looked like a disaster and was in serious need of deep-cleaning. I pushed the ice-dispenser and got 2 ice cubes AND AN ORANGE BALLPOINT PEN 🖊 FELL INTO MY CUP. I'm not even joking! I walked to the counter, my stomach in knots, now, as I contemplated germs mixing around all of the ice in the dispenser. I really wanted to take a picture, but the lady at the counter took it and threw it in the trash before I could. My daughter had black flecks in her cup after dumping her ice out.
Every table and seat in the restaurant had crumbs and/or grease on it. We cleaned our own table to eat at. The floors were dirty, and the parking lot matched the inside of the restaurant with trash everywhere.
Besides giving me their "classic" rather than their "spicy" chicken sandwich whichI ordered, and not giving us all the cookies we ordered, the food looked old. My individual mashed potatoes and gravy had old and crusty gravy all around the edges.
Word to the wise: pull off the crunchy skin to see what is underneath before you take a bite. The meat was minimal, and somehow I got a bunch of backbone and a good lung nugget to boot! Gross!
Oh, and they never apologized for the ballpoint pen in their ice/my cup. They just got me a new cup. How kind.
Bottom line: avoid this KFC if you...
Read moreI decide to place an order at 9pm Saturday night. I order thrus Uber eats. I get my food delivered around 9:30pm and it's crazy because the food smells weird like it's burnt or something. I give my husband his food and I proceed to eat mine while he's in the shower. I open the mashed potatoes and it's horrible. It's a pale brown like an it looks dried out and old. So I put it to the side. I then take the chicken out and break it apart because I don't bite my chicken I pull it apart and eat. I pull it apart and that's the smell. It's smells like old blood. This chicken was bleeding. A leg was bleeding and it was small so im confused. I pull out the small thigh and open it up and it's bleeding as well. I pull the rest of the food out which is the famous bowl and that's my husbands favorite all in one and that chicken is burnt. I didn't proceed to do anything else because what? So I call the store and these people tell me the cook is gone..why is the cook gone and the store isn't even closed yet? What? Then they say bring the chicken back tomorrow and they will replace it. Why? Fix your mess. Fix your mistake? You want me to save and bring back your disgusting food instead of fixing your mistake. You don't want to own up and you need proof that yall messed up and cooked chicken in old grease and have the outside looking burnt but inside raw and you didn't know because your cooked went home early? Never again will I get anything from this place. They cannot own anything. This is what happens when you have the wrong people in the wrong places....
