King’s — Restaurant in Houston

TAKEOUT ORDERER'S BEWARE! I ordered takeout last night on my way home from a different bar and it was just an all around horrible experience. I tried calling the restaurant before making my order via yelp. I had to call 6 times in a 30 minute span before anyone picked up. They said that their takeout orders from yelp are ready in 10-15 minutes. They also said their butter chicken came with rice (Duh, what curry place doesn't, but I always ask to avoid what happened to me!). I made my order and showed up 25 minutes later thinking the food would be waiting on me. I still had to wait another 10-15 minutes before my food was ready. I should have checked my food in the restaurant but I was just so ready to go home I didn't even look. After I got home I realized my order didn't have any rice. Honestly on a Friday night I'm sure this was just a mistake, but they weren't really that busy. I tried calling them back to tell them but they still don't answer their phone. I even tried calling them back this morning after they opened (can't be TOO busy at 11am, right?). And I just cannot get a hold of ANYONE. I tried asking grub hub for help but apparently they need the restaurant to answer before they could do anything else, which surprisingly enough, they are not answering.

The Butter Chicken tasted pretty good, but once again, eating Butter Chicken with a fork and no rice was like eating a thick soup with a fork. Pretty big let down. Definitely not what you envision eating butter chicken like. Wish they would just contact me and...

My experience was sub par. I was literally steered to this location on a Bike Bar. I guess that's how those work. They take you to bars on a bike (it all makes sense). Anywho, we arrived. I went on a Thursday at 1:15pm in the afternoon during the Corona Pandemic. Masks are worn by staff and consumers, there is hand sanitizer, and tables are socially distanced. I felt comfortable. Our server was new so that may add to the overall rating of the lunch. I guess she was the only server on the schedule & behind the bar. Let's get started: I'm not a food connoisseur so take my ratings on the food at your own risk. The food was okay I had a burger and fries. I thought the fries were salty and the burger itself didn't wow me but it didn't disappoint me either. Refills were slow, and the reason I'm noting this is because there was a total of nine people in the restaurant with only one server and she seemed to still be struggling. When the check came there was a issue with it but because of the hurry we were on to get back on our bike bar we didn't make any complaints about it. The issue was the item on the menu was $11 but we were charged $16. Overall the facility was clean and had lots of TVs. The atmosphere is inviting. They have rooftop seating but not at the time we went. It's a sports bar with a lounge vibe. Great pub! Home of the Bayou City Blues (and Manchester United fan group). They open early for Chelsea matches and show every game, even the ones on NBC Gold. The pub is right next to the Dynamo stadium so tons of soccer fans are there all the time. The Dynamo supporter groups start their loud and festive journey from here to the stadium on game day and they have after parties here too. They also have various watch parties for the Dynamo away games, with appearances from Diesel every now and then.

The drink selection is standard and the prices are fare. The food is great and the atmosphere is better. Great place to catch any game with friends! Also there is an upstairs terrace and covered exterior...
