London Cafe — Restaurant in Houston

What a high quality meal! Food from scratch with fresh ingredients and with a well seasoned pallet running the kitchen. Service was attentive and fast. These are hardworking kind and exceptionally friendly people!!! My only critique about the entire experience is the flow of service. There is not one mind designating servers to tables/sections, plate pick up, refilling drinks etc. that alone would fix what seemed to be a slightly chaotic flow. The compliment i have to give though is how gracefully and KINDLY this team worked together. The communication between servers was patient and gentle, they definitely don't crack under pressure. So kind and apologetic for any wait(hardly a wait really), confusion or inconvenience to not only myself but other customers. The food was literal perfection. Not everyone gets the crispy & fluffy waffle perfect but they nailed it. My skillet was perfect. The texture of each ingredient was individually spot on to build each bite just right. Pancake and London Breakfast got great compliments from my husband. That item did have a grammatical error on the menu that had us confused about inclusions but the server cleared it up for us easily. That's also an easy fix. Visited with the wife for the 1st time discovering this absolute GEM 💎 of an establishment.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we came to have breakfast with Alex and his family in their home. Absolutely loved the welcoming ambience, the respectful and attentive service from the siblings, and the quality of the food was absolutely delicious and fair for the price.

All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful and you can taste the love and passion Alex puts into his food for each of his guests, as if we were all his family he was cooking for.

Alex came out to greet and thank us for coming multiple times. The entire experience, from the music, to interacting with the family, to the flavor and satisfaction of the food, was super humbling and refreshing.

As grateful as Alex was for us to eat here, we were just as grateful to find our new go to place for breakfast. It's extremely rare to find establishments like this that really matter and leaves a lasting memory and experience where you can't help but want to come back as soon as we can.

I stopped by London Cafe because of its good Yelp reviews and wanted to check it out before inviting friends for breakfast. I placed an online order at 9:15 am, which was supposed to be ready by 10:00 am. I arrived on time, but no one greeted me. A young lady just stared at me until I mentioned I was there for an online pickup. She asked for my order number, even though I could see my bag with my name on it.

Despite this, I was made to wait for another 10 minutes. At 10:20 am, they handed me the bag. When I got to my car and opened it, I realized it wasn’t even my order—it had someone else’s name on it. I went back inside and showed them my order details again. They took the food back without any apology and said my order would be out soon.

While waiting, I saw them hand that same, already-opened bag to another customer who didn’t speak much English. I wasn’t able to warn him before he left quickly, which was concerning in terms of hygiene and food safety.

I finally received my order at 11:00 am—an hour late—and the food was greasy and partially burnt. No apologies, no care. Overall, a terrible experience. I won’t be...
