My mom and I had been a regular customer at this location. We initially wanted to come find some curtains at this location since we were familiar with the associates. Today is the first time in years that we had a situation with one of the employee. We checked out about 12 items and 6 of them being curtains. She (597607) then bagged the clothes in one bag and all 6 heavy ones in one big bag. One of the pair of jeans was missing a tag so we tried to find one that was exactly like it so she could do a price match. She continued to give us an attitude saying how it's not and she needs to check in the system. It came out to $2 difference so we didn't mind and took it. As we were leaving, my mom grabbed the curtains bag and noticed it was too heavy. She asked the lady for an extra bag so we could put it over or else the bag would ripped. The lady then refused and asked my mom just to carry them out. I then asked again and explained it to her and I quote "there's no more bag". When I can see clearly there was a pack of them behind her. She kept giving my mom attitude and threw the bag down as she said it was heavy. I told my mom we should leave and as soon as we stepped out the bag ripped. The situation was so upsetting as we never had this type of attitude from any associate before. The salesperson asked Mr. Dean and he said itās a discounted store and their wonāt be any additional discount and the customer doesnāt have to get it if she wants more discount. Mr. Dean said all of this right in front of me. His body language was as if ātake it or leave itā. After the purchase, I went up to Mr. Dean and said that Sit you sounded really rude, as if you donāt care about whether a customer is happy with the shopping experience or not. It would have been alright to just say āMaāam I apologize I canāt provide any additional discountā instead of just showing an attitude which screamed out āI donāt care if you purchase it or not someone else will or pay it if you can or leaveā. Mr. Dean upon hearing this told me that āHe doesnāt owe me any explanation but still he didnāt direct his words to me but was giving the option to the salesperson to tell meā . Is this what you call customer service. Ross is a discounted store, I agree but that doesnāt mean there will be no customer service specially from a supervisor.
