Hello Thank you for viewing my message. On 03/23/24 I arrived at this lubys location. I was mistreated by a rude and ill mannered employee. I originally wanted to overlook this employees misbehavior. As I chewed on my food, I tasted the body and wingspan of an insect. I spat the insect and inspected it. I was disappointed by the mistreatment of the employee and the experience eating a bug on my food I reported this to a manager. I told the assistant manager what exactly happened between me and the employee, my time of arrival, and the discovery of the bug in my food. At first the manager seemed to resolve the situation appropriately. The manager offered to refund my money and food from the selection area. As I was talking to the manager I felt a person remove a item from my hand without my consent. The manager removed it to inspect it at first without my consent. He is invasive , I wanted to be friendly and grateful for his offer so I kindly informed him not to grab the insect from my hand. This is my evidence against this store to provide to a safety health department, corporate office or attorney (worst case scenario if health is negatively affected) The manager said THATS NOT A LADYBUG THATS A PIECE OF SPINACH. My perception changed. I suspected the manager had intentions to destroy the insect/ evidence I had. Or deny its a bug with or without the proof. A female employee also LIED and said its a piece of spinach. The woman said this after she heard her boss say the same thing. They were a few feet a way from each other and heard each other perfectly. They willingly lied to protect their interests and disrupt a report to the health food department. I walked up to visitors. I greeted them I identified myself and displayed what I discovered in my food to see if they think its a piece of spinach. The visitors confirmed it was a lady bug with a wingspan. The manager kept invading my space, misused his authority (banned me from the property to not be reported to the health department, and called the police on me over a civil issue. Ill add the managers mouth smelled like liquor. The manager asked my friends if I had mental issues, angrily refused to give us a refund (as promised earlier) and I was transported to the hospital witha bp read out of 157/100 and other health afflictions. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. They have many bad reviews. Many bad reviews relate to rude, careless, and unprofessional employee conduct behavior Eating food with insects is not the same as...
Read moreThe customer service was HORRIBLE. I want especially mention Victoria..very rude. I arrived at the establishment approximately 10 minutes from closing. Upon receiving 2 kids plates for my grandsons and 1 LuAnn for my daughter, I encountered Victoria. As she was ringing me up I asked "are drinks included with the kids plates?" Her response was "yes" I stated okay do I make them if so where do I get the cups? She in turn stated "that's what happens when you come when we are closed." I stated Ma'am the establishment closes at 8:00pm I was here before 8:00pm." She just keeps talking with such rudeness a young man walks up and says "Ma'am I will help you." He did and I appreciate him for it. He bagged the food and made the drinks. I appreciate him. Customers were still sitting dining in and eating their meals. With this being said. Victoria need customer service training. I have never visited this establishment before. The ONLY REASON I put up with the rudeness is because this is what my grandsons wanted me to pick up for them. I was skeptical when I went through the line, there was another customer in front of me,and noticed the serving line had been broken down and the food was in containers with minimal serving utensils to serve the remaining items. I will be contacting the corporate office. Out of all my years of frequenting Lubys, I never experienced such poor service. My ex-husband was a manager with Lubys for many many years we travel between Texas and Oklahoma with him opening new Lubys restaurants over 20 years with the company. When I spoke with my ex-husband regarding this experience, he stated I should have not purchased the food because there is no way to keep the food at the proper temperatures. I will be contacting the manager as well. I recommend that the health department make an observation at...
Read morewe've been going here at least once per week and its always been a nice clean place and the people there are nice and polite. But on Jan. 1st 2014 we went there at 3:42pm and on the line everything and everyone was nice and polite like always. When we got to the table the lady that brings your drinks and picks up the trays went to our table did not say hello or hi she just say "trays" and basically threw the straws on the table i gave the trays to her and she walked away. I finished my drink and she was cleaning the table next to us i said "excuse me mam" and she ignored me i said it one more time and she ignored me again. she was about 4 ft away she walked away without even looking or saying anything to me. she went to another table and served them on her way back i raised my empty cup and she noticed me when she came over i noticed she had an attitude because she said "yes" but with kind of an attitude i told her "can i please get sweet tea" she just turned around without saying anything and walked away went to her station got the sweet tea and pour it in my cup. a few min latter my wife finished her drink and the lady never came back to our table she was so busy trying to charge her phone and clean the tables she was not paying any attention i had to get up and go back to the line to get more drink on my way back to the table she looked at me with the drinks on my hand and she just kept on with her phone. This is my first bad experience here. Why would she act like that toward me and my wife and others that where there but there was some she was nice to with smile and all. Cant say she was having a bad day because she was being nice to some. but i still left her a tip. if this happens again the manager at this location and main office will...
