Some of us OG Houston folk remember our beloved Bombay Pizza in downtown. Since they closed down there weren't many options for pizza with Indian flair. Southern Yankee had a tikka masala pizza for a while but FOOLISHLY took it off the menu (I'm not bitter...).

I was staying on the west side one night and recently heard about this place, figured I'd give it a shot.

Called around 9 pm on a Saturday night and the owner answers the phone. I ask to place an order and he immediately is ready to go and super friendly. I ask about ordering a half and half pizza from their indian flavor menu which he says he can do. Ordered a half Mumbai bhaji and half saag paneer tikka pizza. He said it would be ready in 15 minutes.

Picked up right on time, same super friendly service, and I headed back extremely excited.

The dough: This isn't your NY style dough, nor is it really comparable to any other chain pizza spot I've had. It's fluffy and pillowy like a roll (or....... naan?), but still has a nice exterior crunch. When you bite through you get a crunch and minimal resistance, no chew. Now I'm a NY style fanatic and usually want some chew in my pizza dough but this works so well. Maybe because of the extra saucy curry base or something but it plain works.

The bhaji half: Not gonna lie when I saw the pizza at first I thought the bhaji half looked super basic, especially when you see the saag paneer half is so colorful with various toppings. This slice is my first taste. I take a bite and it's creamy, mildly spicy, with a healthy curry kick. The cheese.... dang you almost don't need the cheese here. Sacrilege but I stand by it.

The saag paneer half: Somehow... captures the essence of a saag paneer. It doesn't have the ultra creamy texture because well it's a pizza, but it has the flavor. At first bite the indian spice flavor is a bit milder than the bhaji slice, but texture wise it has a bit more going for it. I also really liked this slice.

After I had both slices, I went back to the bhaji. My brain wanted to relegate it to the unexciting category because it looked pretty plain, but my first bite proved otherwise. After having the paneer slice going back to it was almost an explosion of curry flavor it was AWESOME. The only thing that could have improved this slice for me personally is a squeeze of lime. That acid would balance it so well and make it extremely addictive.

Long story short I love this place and it is super unfortunate that I will not be traveling to Houston for work much more in the future. When I do however, I will 100% get a pizza here.

For the super nice owner... thank you and how about a...

If you're looking for a pizza experience that truly stands out, look no further than Paneer and Peppers Pizza! From the very first bite, you can tell this place is something special. The crust is perfectly baked — crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside — and the toppings are fresh, flavorful, and generously layered.

Their signature combo of paneer and peppers is a game-changer. The paneer is perfectly seasoned and melts in your mouth, while the vibrant bell peppers add just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. It’s a beautiful fusion of Indian and Italian flavors that works so well.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is clean and cozy. Whether you're dining in or taking out, you'll always leave satisfied.

Highly recommend this spot for vegetarians, spice lovers, and pizza fans alike. Paneer and Peppers Pizza is officially my go-to...

We recently visited a newly opened restaurant called Paneer and Peppers, and it was such a delightful experience! We tried the Palak Paneer Pizza, JalapeƱo Garlic Bread, and their signature Peppy Fries—and absolutely loved everything.

The food is freshly made from scratch in a clean and hygienic kitchen, with a strong focus on health and quality. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and well-presented, which made our visit even more pleasant.

The pizzas are a must-try, and we couldn’t get enough of the Peppy Fries—they were so flavorful! Portion sizes are generous and totally worth the price.

We highly recommend this place and will definitely be...

In pursuit of a good desi pizza restaurant in the area, i ordered takeout from here for dinner and got the chicken Tikka pizza. When I received it, after opening the box, I thought I had received a paneer pizza instead. I called the store and they were quite nice, and mentioned that they actually add paneer in their chicken pizza which I wasn't expecting given the name of the pizza ! Their ratios also seemed a bit off because my pizza had a lot more paneer than chicken (which is what originally threw me off). As far as the taste is concerned, they're quite decent and definitely one of the best desi pizzas in the area
