Awesome happy hour 🐟 🍤 This place is awesome Matsu Sushi Bar Houston Texas off of Eldridge Parkway Sushi sashimi noodles cooked meals all kind of different foods and fusions raw fish cooked fish sushi rolls tempura shrimp salmon eel Maki masago sea bass sea urchin salmon smoked salmon tuna spicy tuna grouper tofu tamago egg you name it this place has it all great food great Atmosphere great price great service say no more wish they had a tempura jalapeno roll named after me. # thepittsburghroll lol. it's awesome we went there had to wait a few minutes to get in but that tells you that the food is great we got there we were greeted very quickly seen it quickly after that the food was awesome the amount of food that I got for $55 for me and my wife is astronomical biggest bang for your buck I can see hands down for sushi Houston TEXAS OMG FRESH N DELICIOUS A MUST TRY in the city of Houston off eldridge pkwy I would recommend this place for anybody that loves sushi but wants a good fair price instead of paying $100 a person you're looking at more like 25 a person and you can eat as much as you can possibly handle. I first discovered this place through UberEats-- I had a $30 off, so I was like, why not. I will highlight my delivery experience and also my in-person experience. Delivery Experience- We ordered probably 7 different rolls, thinking, like other sushi restaurants, they were small ok sized rolls. We were wrong. They were huge. We would've been good with 4 rolls. They were also very delicious and all were labeled! I've never had delivery where a restaurant spent the time to stick labeling to the boxes! It was always. A guessing game. Then, we noticed the menu they included. Happy Hour sounded intriguing. So, fast forward four months later, we decide to have our In-Person Experience- There wasn't really any wait; we came in at 5:55pm on a Tuesday. The sushi was delicious as expected. I don't need to explain any further because everyone already has mentioned how good their food is. But a shout out to their waiters! I don't have their names but they are so attentive. Their tables were full but they made sure our waters were also full. I rarely saw them stand around and chat. They always were moving around, taking plates or asking if everything's okay. Atmosphere: A definite recommend for Eldridge Parkway. It's tucked in the Starbucks strip mall. Parking is somewhat awful especially during lunch hours. Everyone inside is very nice and the chefs always greet you. The annoying thing (somewhat understandable) to me is that when I go on my own, they always ask me to use the bar stools. For me, the height of the stools in proportion to the bar and to the foot rest is very large and I'm always seated uncomfortably and my feet are dangling and the stools feel small. I've asked for a table every time but they keep insisting and pointing to the bar so I always give in. Also right next to the chefs is the tip jar, which always happens to be in front of me. I never carry cash, especially small bills so it's either awkward for me to walk away without tipping them as if I didn't enjoy it which isn't true or I end up tipping too much.
