Best Thai food on the face of the planet. The chef used to have a restaurant in the Dallas area a few years ago and when she moved to Houston, I was heartbroken. I have probably eaten at every Thai restaurant in the metroplex and no one makes food like she does. She puts love in her food. It’s full of depth of flavor, never one note. It’s never greasy, always light and sophisticated. As soon as I heard she opened a new place in Houston, we got ourselves down there as soon as we could. I would pay so much more for their food than they charge. Service is fast and the employees are great. Amazing amazing amazing. 50 stars out of 5. You will love every single item they have to offer. No doubt in my mind. I know I’ll be making the 4 hour trip from Dallas to eat here as often as I can.
Update (November 2021): still the best Thai food on the face of the planet. Fresh, full of love, great service, even...
Read moreWhere do I begin?! I was in the area and decided I was craving “something” but wasn’t sure what that “something” was. I have tried other places in the area but was disappointed but decided to try this place since it was new. First the service. AMAZING! I was greeted immediately and was allowed to sit anywhere. I was dining alone but my server was very attentive and his timing was perfect. I never had to wait for anything but i also didn’t feel rushed. Definitely what i needed tonight. Next the wine. I ordered a glass of the house red. It was tasty and guess what, it’s BOGO from 4-7 on weeknights! Can’t beat that deal! Now the food. It was delicious! I ordered the Iyara fried rice and the drunken noodles to go. It was perfect. I wanted mild for both dishes and it was the perfect amount of heat. Don’t let the negative reviews stop you from coming here. Iyara has gained a life long customer in me. I...
Read moreWe went to there at 6 PM last night (Sunday), there is no customer. I live close by and went to this place for lunch once a while since they were open long time ago. The food was always good. Last night we ordered Panang Curry w/Chicken, there are hardly any meat and vegi in it, basically it was a soup. The taste was good, but $15 for couple pieces of chicken is way over priced. Another dish was Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, the rice noodle and taste was good, but the fried chicken was so rubbery, it was hard to eat, I can tell the chicken was fried couple times before served on my dish. I will not go back to Iyara Thai anymore.
Thanks the owner refund my check. I did not expect to get refund. The owner takes review seriously, I really appreciate and I will try...
