I have always been a big fan of La Madeleine, but my visit to this location was disappointing. Clean store, everyone greets you as you enter but it went down hill from there. I brought 2 guests for a lunch splurge. Myself and one of my guests each ordered a small caesar salad with chicken. The cashier showed us with her hands how small the salads would be...(circling her fingers to show slightly smaller than a side salad plate)... My guest and I both agreed that small was what we wanted (we were familiar with these salads from other locations in the past). My other guest ordered the chicken caesar sandwich and a blueberry muffin. We immediately got the muffin and water cups. Food came fairly quickly, sandwich looked great and salads were ENORMOUS. Guest raved about the sandwich, he said it's pricey but LOVED IT, it was my treat. ☺️. The salads were quite dry, both from lack of dressing and from dried out chicken. We each only ate 1/2 the salad as we only wanted small to begin with and took the remainder home. We were never checked on, at out table. Had to get our own carryout containers and after all my raving about the fresh bread and wonderful jams, we never even got any. 🥺. Oh and the reason why our salads were so enormous? She went ahead and charged me for large ones even after we both confirmed wanting small. So now my one guest left thinking about how he couldn't afford to come back on his own because 2 small salads and a sandwich (we only drank water) was over $32. That's a pricey lunch.(The muffin also turned out very average, no fresh baked items here). At least the sandwich was good, cuz everything else was bland, dry and NOT fresh. I highly recommend La Madeleine in general, but not this...
Read moreWhen you mess up an order. The last thing you should do is be unprofessional and argue about the order. I called and ordered two veggie, egg white omelettes with cheddar and French toast. The person taking the order never asked which vegetables I wanted so I assumed it just came with a variety of vegetables chosen for me. When I got to this location and picked up my order, I asked the manager if they can make sure I had butter in my bag and she ASSURED me that there was butter in my bag. I got home and my omelettes had nothing in them but cheese and there was no butter in the bag. My frustration came from me bringing back my order and telling the “manager” that I don’t eat out much and I didn’t think that a veggie omelette would come with Just cheese. She continued to argue with me, saying “you have to pick the vegetables” as if I work at La Madeleine. If you make a mistake, just apologize politely and fix it. How does it benefit your establishment to argue with a paying customer who is taking a chance on eating out during the height of a pandemic. I’m supporting businesses in my local area and you are lying to me about condiments in my bag and making me feel as if I (the customer) made a mistake. I love La Madeleine, but I definitely feel uncomfortable coming back to my new local location. Please be more understanding when you make a mistake; as I was, since I could’ve easily asked for me money back and not given them a chance to...

Last Saturday, my husband and I decided to have breakfast at this location, a spot we used to enjoy. My husband ordered the French Dip Sandwich, and I went for the breakfast quiche. We both had coffee and decided to indulge in a chocolate croissant to start the day. While the wait for our order wasn’t an issue, the rest of the experience left much to be desired.
When my quiche arrived, it came in an aluminum foil tray sitting on a plate that was too large for its contents, making it look quite unappetizing—almost like it was an afterthought. Honestly, it was an eye sore. Is it too much to ask to have it served in a more appealing way, maybe without the foil tray and with a garnish to make it look a bit more inviting?
The coffee was another letdown. It tasted old and was cold, which was a bit surprising for a place that usually serves decent brews. I even had to remind someone behind the counter about our chocolate croissant. When it finally arrived, it too was a disappointment. It was cold and definitely didn’t taste fresh, which is the last thing you want in a pastry.
I haven’t visited this location in a while, but I don’t remember the quality being this poor. It's unfortunate because I used to enjoy their breakfasts, but after this experience, I don’t think I'll be returning...
