This was my first time at this location,I found it when it popped up on my Facebook news feed. All the pictures that they would post on their page looked so yummy. So I decided to drive out of my way just to try them. It was clean and had very nice decor. The staff was very friendly, especially Becky she was very informative on the menu and desserts. I didn't take pictures of the inside since I ordered my food to go . Once I got home I unwrap the tacos and tried to clean them up as much as possible they were very greasy and kind of squished in the foil, that was disappointing .The food tasted good the breakfast tacos would have been better if they weren't so messy, and thrown together. I ordered 2 chorizo, egg, potato tacos, 2 egg, chorizo, beans tacos, 1 barbacoa taco. The donut she recommended was the salted caramel with a chocolate glaze now that was awesome apparently the day I went it was a new recipe. The half and half of donut holes were also very good. It's a must-try when you go to Pearland. I will definitely go back for the donuts and desserts.

It was such a delicious pleasure to return to one of my local favorite donut places @penas_donuts_diner! Peña’s simply gets it right! Enjoy your traditional favorites or choose from a wide variety of sweet delights - your taste buds will dance! I indulged in a glazed donut because I have eating plans later! 🤣Today I wanted good coffee so I indulged in the cafe de olla which was good! For my second cup i selected the Texas Pecan sourced by local favorite Katz which was also delish and just what I needed to jump-start my day. But wait! They have an extensive menu for all your people to enjoy. I saw Barbacoa and brisket tacos and chicken and waffles on the menu! Also saw an extensive Keto menu if that’s your thing. I only indulged in coffees and one yummy glazed donut! But I picked up a coconut donut to share. This foodie has to take it easy!🤣🤩 I’ll also mention the great service! I’ll be back soon. #donuts #cafedeolla #texaspecancoffee #breakfast #sweets #houston #houstonf

First time here. This was recommended so I tried the farmers traditional eggs, bacon ,hash and toast. I ordered eggs soft, hash golden but not burnt. My eggs were over cooked and the hash browns undercooked and very greasy. I was never offered a refill of coffee. The coffee was served in a paper cup and it was lukewarm. The sleeve kept slipping off but I would not have needed it for the coffee was not too hot. It was a brand named Katz, it was bitter, weak, and had a few grounds in it. I was never asked if I wanted a refill. I did ask for a glass of water but I was not offered a straw. During my meal I was never asked after receiving my food if it was ok. I flagged down my waitress to request butter but it was a margarine spread. All in all it was a mediocre meal and the one star is for the hostess who was very pleasant. The waitress was a bit abrasive and never once smiled. At this time I do not recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I met at Pena's for lunch on Dec. 2nd, and we were warmly greeted by the owner, Ray Pena. When our orders of chicken and waffles arrived, we both dug in. I tasted my chicken and it was tender and juicy, but on the other hand, my husband had eaten a large bite, but said it tasted chewy and rubbery. He cut into the middle of his chicken and noticed it was slightly pink. It was cause for concern, so my husband asked Ray if it was safe to eat. Ray said it was safe, but he also said, "It was borderline and it could've cooked another minute". Ray graciously offered to make my husband another plate. When the second plate arrived, my husband cut into his chicken and looked at it before taking a bite. This piece was also slightly pink in the middle, but my husband tasted it, he said it was fine and he ate all of it. We had a pleasant dining experience, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, within 2 hours of lunch, my husband became violently ill with food poisoning symptoms. He phoned Ray to let him know he suspected the chicken made him sick, and Ray raised his voice and started yelling at my husband. Ray said,"NO ONE HAS EVER GOTTEN SICK IN MY RESTAURANTS". Ray continued yelling and it forced my husband to hang up on him. My poor husband did NOTHING to provoke Ray's shocking verbal attack. He wasn't asking Ray for anything, he just wanted Ray to be aware of the situation. There is absolutely NO excuse for Ray's aggressive and arrogant behavior. What happened to the friendly business owner we met earlier that day? Ray Pena is clearly not the nice guy he appears to be. He clearly doesn't want to hear that there is a problem in his establishement. We will obviously take our...

Walked in today accidentally after meaning to drive to Peñas Donut Heaven & grill on shadow creek parkway. Since I was already there my family and I decided to give it a try. First time I ever walk out of an establishment because of customer service. When we arrived my wife and sister in law started to get on line to order. No one else was on line waiting. I was walking towards a table to take seat while my wife ordered especially because I was carrying my 3 month old daughter in her car seat carrier. A young lady with glasses (employee) said from the other end of the store sorry you have too order first and than you could sit. I told her that my wife will be ordering so I was just choosing my table. She said no you still have to order first. Ok, so I understand company policy might be order first than sit but there was no line for ordering meaning we would be have been sitting next. I was carrying a baby so what is the issue with me just sitting down and putting her down. If there was at least one other customer infront of us then I completely understand but there was none. Maybe 3 other tables out of 10 were occupied. All available tables were within social distances. So that wasn't the issue because than they would of told us we would have to wait for someone to leave. Anyways we just turned around and left, drove to Peñas on shadow creek in Pearland which we should have in the first place and it was all forgotten. Maybe they should send their employees here to learn what better...

Who would have thought there was a decent brunch place near our house! I was craving brunch items but did not want to drive into town and deal with the superbowl madness. So I popped up yelp, expecting to at least drive to clear lake or deep into pearland to find something. But this place popped up only minutes from our house.

When I pulled up, I realized I have seen this place before when going to the starbucks at the corner.

They have a very nice greeter at the door that hands you a menu. You then walk through the line to order drinks (coffee), and their donut case. This line moves slowly so you have plenty of time to review the menu. We got the cronuts and their maple bacon donut. We got a few other items too but those were the only memorable. The maple bacon was so good that we ended up getting some to go afterwards.

As far as the brunch items, we got the chicken and waffles, it was solid, nothing spectacular, but definitely good. The Benedict flight was a bit disappointing. We got the garden, the bbq, and the mexican? the egg consistency was not there. The egg on the garden was cooked correctly, but the one on the mexican one was overcooked.

Overall, I'll probably just stick the donuts and simplier items. The "brunch" type items were just OK and took a really long time to come out. I think items like breakfast sandwiches and breakfast tacos...
