The staff was polite but you'll be at a disadvantage if you do not speak Spanish. I had a bit of a year communications issue when trying to ask questions and order. The waitress kept asking if I wanted flour or corn tortillas when asking for the beef queso. Regarding the beef queso, the cheese had already started to firm up by the time it was brought over to the table making it impossible to eat with the chips. See my photo for reference. The consistency of the queso was what I hoped to have on pizza, not my queso. The chips were void of any salt. The lack of seasoning was predominant for all the dishes I received. The beef and the beef queso was tough and very chewy. The beef in the beef and chicken fajita had some seasoning but was less than adequate compared to what I expect from a Mexican restaurant. I want, and should expect, vibrant flavours from the food here, but that wasn't my experience unfortunately. The portion was about half of what was shown in previous photos uploaded to Google and the photo provided on the menu. Especially given the $20 price tag for the dish. The seasoning on the chicken for the beef and chicken fajita was non existent. I also can't recommend the salsa Verde, I typically enjoy this with the chips but it was lackluster during my visit. The red salsa that was also served with the chips n salsa, along with the salsa Verde, was very very water down. My preference is to have a thicker salsa, but this was probably the most watery salsa I've ever had at a restaurant.

This was hands down the worst tex mex I've ever had in my life. The sloppy cheese quesadilla was barely cooked, and the low-quality dairy product oozed from the tortilla like phlegm, dripping oil everywhere. The tacos al carbon was barely edible, my coworker couldnt even finish it, I doubt she would even feed that meat to her dog, and it came thrown together in haste. I ordered queso with this pickup, and low and behold there were no chips. The guacamole tasted like it had been sitting around for days, and the green sauce had literally no spice or flavor. I feel nauseus, and my stomach feels like it's been assaulted by this horrible food. We're both feeling sick now. If you want to throw up after your meal, I'd recommend Ruchis for sure.

What a diamond in the rough! I ate here last week and have been counting down the days until we may meet again. Favorite item: the green salsa. If you've ever been to Pollo Rico or Tacodeli then you may be familiar with what is a green, creamy, roasted jalapeno-based salsa, sometimes called "dona" salsa: Ruchi's has a salsa with a seemingly similar blend, and it's delecious! Other things that we love about this place: the quality:price ratio is through the roof. We were really surprised with the affordability, especially once we sunk our teeth into the tasty fajitas. Staff was very friendly and helpful, too. They put up with alot of questions and even gave us some special, habanero-based salsa. Will come again, hopefully very soon.

Our experience at Ruchi’s was beyond disappointing. I normally don’t leave reviews, but this was so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. When we arrived, the environment was filthy. The chairs and booths were so dirty they looked black with grime, and the entire place felt unsanitary. Even though we were uncomfortable, we decided to stay because we had driven a long way and were very hungry.

We first sat at the bar, but the woman behind the counter had a terrible attitude. She didn’t greet us, didn’t speak to us—just looked at us like she didn’t want us there. So we moved to a table, only to find the same level of filth on the seats. Still, we tried to make the best of it and placed our order.

When the food arrived, the experience got even worse. The restaurant had flies and gnats flying around everywhere, and one landed directly on our food. We politely let the waitress know. Instead of apologizing, she snatched the food away with no explanation or offer to replace it. My friend had the same thing happen—a gnat flew into her plate—and when we told the waitress, she responded by saying, “This is why we don’t like people to come here like this.” That comment was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and offensive.

To make matters worse, my friend didn’t even drink her drink, yet they still tried to charge her for it. I was willing to pay for mine, but it made no sense to charge her for something she didn’t consume, especially after everything we had experienced. The staff overall had nasty attitudes and treated us like we didn’t belong there. We felt completely disrespected and unwelcome. The entire experience—from the cleanliness to the customer service—was unacceptable. We will never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this...

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT. I came here last Sunday and it was packed full of Hispanic people, I was with my black friend and the lady with the silver teeth told us we weren’t allowed in because they were closed for cleaning on sundays. We figured that the people must’ve gotten in before closing and that’s the reason they were allowed to eat, we left and went to La Tapatía and had a great dinner. Next Monday I decided to give Ruchi’s another try. I came with my girlfriend and our other black friend, once again, the restaurant was packed full of Hispanic people in fact there were so many people, that there was no parking and we had to park across the street. As we walked in (Through an unlocked door) the same lady with the silver teeth told us we weren’t allowed to order because Monday’s they are closed for cleaning. Usually I don’t write reviews but this is unacceptable, if this place IS closed on sundays AND mondays for cleaning it shouldn’t be advertised as a 24 hour restaurant all throughout the week. I find it strange that the restaurant is packed on Sundays and Mondays, but there are no black people inside. Every time I came to Ruchi’s before this without my black friends there was...
