3/23/23 11am I called in and ordered the same tuna sandwich that I always buy from zeros sandwich shop the 507 Dallas st location, by the c. Baldwin hotel. when I arrived I noticed it wasn’t the location I normally visit. I wasnt aware there were two locations downtown, the woman at the front lied and said they’re owned by the same people. I learned that they aren’t! my 1st red flag was there weren’t many customers like the one I normally go to. It was only 3 ppl there The Dallas st location always have a line. I opened my tuna sandwich there is hardly no tuna on this thing it’s practically just bread and other fillers lettuce cheese. It’s just drowned in mayo. The bread also doesn’t taste the same. This location it was like a greasy focaccia pizza bread. I will never visit this location again. This was Lamar and Sanjacinto a waste of my time and money. Like why would you serve this to someone? The woman who took my money wasn’t helpful when I called back dissatisfied.

Probably the best sandwich downtown. One of the best in Houston. The bread is kind of the winner, it is warm and fluffy. Has a slight crunch on outside and soft on inside. My normal order is a large turkey, ham, and bacon. Stuffed generously, the melted cheese is nice. I am glad to be working downtown again, because it has been over a decade since I have been here and am extremely glad they are still open. Will be eating here a couple times a month. Today just had the Italian. It was also amazing. Since they toast the sandwich the italian meats meats produce and oil that soaks into the bread.

A delicious Mom and Pop Style sandwich shop with very friendly staff. Very conveniently located on the side of the street for a quick drop in to get lunch when you're in a rush. The staff is very friendly and as they advertise on the outside of the restaurant, The Bread is made fresh that morning and is absolutely delicious. I had the Cajun style chicken which was absolutely amazing and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is something out of the days of old, with it being very relaxing and very nostalgic.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I mean, the moment you walk in the door you're greeted with kindness and people who want nothing more than to make your day. The bread is baked fresh every day and it's the best bread i've had in years. The sandwich itself was hands down the best sandwich i've ever had in my life. I'm visiting from Detroit and I'm mad that I don't have Zero's in my city. Y'all should consider yourselves lucky. The warm environment of this "classic" little sandwich shop is top tier. The people are a godsend. The food is unbeatable....
