Okay, so I've given this establishment enough chances. My first time going there the power went out. Not a big deal, we had already ordered. We got our food before the power went out fyi. What annoyed me was that everyone that ordered at around the same time was told they didn't have to pay for their meal due to the inconvenience of the power going out. Now by all means I'm not looking for a free meal. What rubbed me the wrong way was that we were the only ones that had to pay. I did pay for our meals if one is wondering. I brushed it off. I spoke to what turned out to be the manager. I asked her if she could add something to out bill. I wanted to order dessert for my kids. She looked at me didn't say a word, and walked away. Okay then.....I waited. She eventaully came out, and enjoy handed at that. When I asked her where the cake was she muttered something, and walked away again without a word. I brushed it off. I almost forgot to mention my daughter got sick about 10-15 minutes of eating. It turns out she got food poisoning. Even with all that I decided I would give them another shot when they weren't having any power issues at another point in time.
I went their last week, again with my family. Our server was phenomenal! We ordered, everything seemed yo be going great. We received our food. The one time I didn't cut my kids cheeseburgers in half is the time that (not exaggerating) they are bloody red in the middle. I showed the server. My husband was eating so we didn't leave after this. I let the poor man eat. Lol. The server offered to have them remake their food. Which I said was alright, after he apologized profusely. By this time my kids didn't even want to eat them. We played the bill.....some of us still ate out food. I didn't even want to ask for a manager, since the previous time was anything but delightful. With the first time giving one of my kids good poisoning, and the second time giving my children raw meat....needless to say we will never return here again, and I hope you don't consider dining...
Read moreHaven't been here in a while and I've missed it. They have fantastic food. The jalapeno ranch and pico style salsa is to die for. The ranch is just the right amount of spicy and tastes good on just about anything. Chips are crisp and yummy without being overly salty like some places can be.
The service was great, the waitress worked with me and was patient with my questions about the kid's menu since I have a big time picky eater. The kid's meal comes with a push pop Popsicle and she made sure it was okay with me before she brought it out which is a huge thing to a Momma.
My husband got a steak fajita burrito that was smothered in queso and was delicious according to him. I also got some kind of steak burrito and I got the jalapeno ranch as a sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful without being dried out or having that "restaurant" taste to it.
The kid's burrito that we got my son was originally bean and cheese but I was able to sub the beans and replace it with ground beef for my picky child. He actually had several bites of it which was awesome! It did have veggies in it which I expected but it wasn't overly so and I was able to pick out the biggest pieces and my son not notice the rest.
Overall we had a great experience. If you've never been it's a fun place to go. The atmosphere is laid back, very casual. It's a smidge loud but not to the point where you can't hear each other. There's lots of conversation pieces on the walls and lots of stuff for kids to look at and stay mildly entertained. And this is gonna sound stupid to anyone who isn't a parent to a small child, but they gave him 4 crayons in a pack with his coloring page! That's like unheard of!...
Read moreI would like to know what has happened to server's during this pandemic? I ordered quesadillas along with some refried beans and rice and of course when you sit down at the table they give you their chips and salsa which I love their cilantro sauce. To start off they were having to make more chips so I have to wait for those, the waitress proceeded to go ahead and get my drink order and she brought it to me, then finally my chips showed up along with the sauces the cilantro sauce and the salsa I really don't care for salsa but anyway sitting there for a little while my quesadillas showed up and I looked at the server and I said what's missing and she said Oh! beans and rice so she proceeded to go get those when she brought that back, now how am I supposed to eat those? No silverware so she had to bring silverware so now here comes the good part I asked for a tea to go then a to go box for my leftovers while I'm sitting there waiting of course my check is already there and I decided to have some more chips and the cilantro sauce I got to looking and I got the butter knife or knife that was there cuz I saw something and when I took the knife and put it and lift it up that thing in My Favorite cilantro sauce it happened to be a HAIR showed my server and she took it to the manager yes he apologized and offered to give me some more of the cilantro sauce but I declined because it's hard to tell what that comes out of and if it had been made with that same strand of black hair basically I lost whatever appetite I had and I didn't even use the to go container I just paid my bill and that was it I will not be coming back too bad and I loved Chuy's. Oh she never came back around to...
