I ordered this cake for $43 round size. Strawberry flavor i had ordered the cake with a brown colored theme on the outside part of the cake , it was plain white when i picked it up. I complained because the original price was $38 so they charge separately for the color frosting . So the lady there said it was a beige color they had put on it. When to me it looked plain white , so i just made it easy for her to just do the color in blue to match the blue border they had put around the cake. In flavor the cake was good, also they need to be more organized when it comes to the pan dulce they have carts with bread all over its a mess. But it looks like they do sell alot and its busy all the time . These young girls that work there need more customer service...
Read moreI always expect things from Southeast Los Angeles to be very, very good. Today we came to a bakery that we heard good things about.
Inside it looks and smells like the real deal. The selection is great and the place is really popular. They sell tons of pan dulce, tres leches cakes, flans, and tamales, etc. Even champurrado.

Since they expanded to the neighboring unit I feel this has gotten to their head and their quality has immensely decreased. I came in today and purchased 4 mini conchas, and an empanada which cost 5.25. I'm sorry but mini conchas use to cost less than a dollar here. Also, I came here to get a cake last month ($50) and looked like the cake was made over a week ago. It didn't keep it's consistency and dropped down on all sides by the time we were going to cut it. Portos is some ways away from but their cakes are still $30. If this place does not clean up it's act and stop charging an arm and leg it will not make it in this town...
