I want to preface this review by saying that I have worked in the restaurant industry and bartended for the better part of my adult life. This is my first time visiting Stellas and more than likely my last. I took my wife out last night (03/13/2025) for her birthday with a group of friends. We showed up around 9pm to a pretty much empty bar outside of 3 or 4 other people and ordered our drinks.Drinks were pretty slow to come out, no big deal. Bartender was a little short and not very conversational, not a problem everyone has an off day but the reason why I am leaving this review (I never leave reviews poor or bad) is because we were berated like children by our bartender for combining two 4 top high tables together on the COMPLETELY EMPTY back patio behind the bar so that our party would have adequate seating. Less than 5 minutes after our party of 8 sat down (mind you her ONLY customers for the majority of the night) she came over and said that she knew we saw the BIG HUGE GIANT sign in front of the bar that said no moving tables together but because we already did it to make sure we put them back together before we leave. We apologized and said we would make sure to do so and she went on her way. After ordering more drinks from her through the night it was our understanding that the bar was open until 2am (as listed online) and as soon as Midnight hit she flips all the bar lights on and start loudly slamming down the garage doors indicating for us to hit the road. We paid our tabs and left then seeing the aforementioned small chalk board sign that said no moving furniture which we understood to mean no moving around the plethora of couches and plush chairs located around the bar (completely understandable) but not high tops on a completely empty patio. Regardless, incredibly rude service. It’s one thing if you are SLAMMED and you want to keep seating arrangements straight for food runners from the kitchen or something. but at max excluding our party of 8 there may have been 5 other people in the bar at a time so it really felt like she was trying to run off business so that she could close earlier which she did anyways. Piss poor customer service. Dropped a big stinker on my wife’s birthday party and my opinion of this establishment. The place is cute...
Read moreWe went about 2 weeks ago with friends. I’ve gone maybe 3 or 4 times, but after last time, I won’t be back. Each time I’ve been it has been extremely slow to get any drinks. Just to get 2 rounds takes over an hour or more. This last time, however, was the last straw. I stood at the bar for 20 minutes, the bartender kept making drinks (multiple rounds) for those around me and would not pay attention to me. A guy sitting next to me asked if they had gotten my drink order yet, and I said no so he was able to get her attention to order one. One, she carded me and was rather rude about it as if I had snuck in. You get carded downstairs and we had to wait in line to get in, so that didn’t really make sense to me. However, I politely handed over my ID. I got 2 beers for my husband, and then a French 75 for me which is usually delicious. The beers were half warm like they’d been sitting out and whatever she did to my drink was not the usual. It did not taste right. When I was handing my husband the beers, she loudly and annoyed said “ma’am” trying to give me my other drink. I know that they’re busy, and it’s a cute place. However, giving us warm beer and a drink that was not up to standard as well as being cold and rude the entire exchange while I’ve sat and watched you serve multiple people who came after me before me multiple times—not okay. I thanked her for the drinks and walked away. I didn’t say anything because we were out with friends and had already waited so long for drinks. I know everyone has a rough day so I just let it go as they were busy. Regardless, I didn’t appreciate being treated like that and the quality of what we got was not worth the price we paid. Unfortunately while it’s a fun hangout place to sit and talk with friends, we...
Read moreCame here for their neon party on June 30th; was highly disappointed with the service one of the bartenders provided. Came in with a few friends and went to the bar looking to enjoy a few drinks. As soon as it was my turn to order, I asked how much the charge was for a vodka water, since it’s not on the cocktail menu. I had cash so I wanted to make sure I had enough for that including tip, if not, I would have just used my card. The bartender responded with “if you have to ask that then you probably can’t afford it”. Me and my friends were shocked that he said that and it immediately made us want to leave. He followed with that, after laughing, saying “that was supposed to be a joke”. Even though I had plenty of cash to pay for a few of those, as they were only $6, it was hurtful, especially when I have been to Stella’s many times and have had great experiences until this night. We left for another bar as soon as we finished our drinks. As a server, I understand things can get stressful and you might want to say things to rude customers, but at no point during this time were me or my friends rude. If I ever come back, I will definitely avoid...
