The Raven Italian Bistro and Bar — Restaurant in Huntsville

We went for dinner on my Birthday and from the moment we walked in to the end of the evening, everything was absolutely amazing. With out a doubt the food is as good as it gets. Just superb. Started with Calamari/fried jalapeno slices that were the best we've ever had. So tender and delicate that they just melt in your mouth. For our main coarse we shared the Haddock Parmigiana with penne pasta in the most delicious creamy Alfredo sauce. (Interesting enough...we just returned from a trip to Coastal Maine and the Haddock Parmigiana at Raven Italian Bistro was hands down the best by far.) The other dish was Lasagna. To me this is always a dish to go to when trying a new Italian restaurant. Absolutely over the top incredible. Great wine selection and a must try espresso Martini! Absolutely phenomenal food, service and atmosphere. Outstanding staff, both front and back of the house who all go above and beyond. Cannot recommend this place enough. I can't overstate just how fortunate Huntsville is to have Raven Italian Bistro here in our beautiful downtown along with the other outstanding restaurants. I feel like our downtown food scene can absolutely stand on its own as a true foodie paradise. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to drive to the Woodlands, Houston or Austin for Italian food. You are not going to find anything better anywhere else except for Amore in Montgomery, because they are the same owners. There is a great room for larger parties, amazing dining area and a beautiful bar with excellent ambience. From the bottom of my heart...thank you Alfred and Vjosa for bringing your dream to Huntsville. This is a must food destination and we will be back often. We highly recommend Raven Italian Bistro...

The good. Tried the Raven today and were impressed. The calamari was perfectly fried to a light crisp and not chewy at all, but the real star was the marinara it is served with. I got the meatball sandwich with fries and it was flavorful and fresh. My husband got the penne rustica and it was my favorite. We ended the meal with a pistachio cake. It was one of the special desserts of the day but I hope they make it a reoccurring thing! All in all, everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. Definitely a place to bring out of...

Gave it a try..... it was delicious and well priced! The lasagna was packed with meat and cheese, very dense and tasty with a sweet tomato sauce. The chicken alfredo was awesome as well!!
