UPDATE: As I stated in my first sentence, I knew nothing would be done by corporate. I followed the link they provided but nothing has been done. I did receive a call from what I believe to be corporate and the person said they were "expediating" the situation. Now 2 weeks later the only thing we received was an email with a link that took us to a survey on "how well they handled the problem". . .the problem is the problem hasn't been handled. It's been swept under the rug and ignored. I don't understand how corporate can allow these franchisors to run a Sonic business this poorly. But, here we are. Sonic Corporation, get your act together. Amazing how their response is "We agree, that is unacceptable and we apologize. There are specific details we need in order to ensure that this issue gets to our customer service department and the drive-ins are held accountable". Interesting, no one is being held accountable. The mistake made by your staff at this location not only cost us money but could've ended me up in the ER due to staff not knowing how to make sure a drink is sugar free. Shame on this company. And apparently I'm not the only person that has issue with this location. Sonic, do better.
I know nothing will be done by the franchisor/corporate but just a warning about this location. Before you go here, read the reviews and take them to heart. This many bad reviews can't be just disgruntled people. Ok, we did an order from the app and arrived to pick up said order. When we took the food out of the bag at home, we noticed that the fries were just dumped in the bottom of the bag (resulting in the bag being covered in oil), the container of tots was only half filled, after I put all the tots from the bottom of the bag into the container. To those that are diabetic, please be careful if you go here. I am a type 1 diabetic and ordered a SPRITE ZERO. . .I took a couple of sips from the drink and thought, this tastes a little off. Waited a moment took another couple of sips and realized it was regular Sprite, NOT Sprite Zero. I confirmed this by checking my blood sugar. . .had I not thought about the taste being off and drank the whole 44 oz, it could have ended up in an ER visit. To those questioning, the food was for my family, not me. I hadn't eaten any of the fries/hamburgers. The carhop also insisted on arguing with us that we hadn't also purchased a gift card. We proved to him that we did, on a separate order but he insisted that we didn't. He finally got us the gift card but not until he made it very clear he didn't want to take care of the situation. I guess he didn't want to be at work and do his job. There isn't any reason for staff to be this careless and sloppy. If you don't care about your job, go find another one. Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I've ever had at this Sonic, if not the worst food experience I've ever had. I tend to avoid writing bad reviews, but this location's service was so horrible that I feel like I have to warn anyone reading to stay away from here.
I went to this Sonic on a Sunday night around 8pm and ordered a combo, popcorn chicken, and a shake. They seemed busy and I've been in fast food before, so I didn't mind waiting if it made the job a little easier. Around 30 minutes in, there was no sign of our food and I was getting fed up, so I walked up to the kitchen door and knocked twice to try and talk to someone. There was no response, so I went back to the car and waited another 10 minutes.
During our wait, we heard another car beside us complaining about something wrong with their food, and watched two other cars drive off that had been there about as long as we had. Still no food, so my boyfriend pressed the button to ask if they had gotten our order. The man who answered said our food was "coming out right now", so we waited another 15 minutes, but still nothing.
We pressed the button yet again and asked for a refund, straight up. The man who answered read our order back to us (for the first time), and after hearing that we had been waiting for an HOUR, he said he would check on our food. Turns out they lost the ticket! How professional. He offered to make our food for us with no other compensation for our hour-long wait, but after sitting there for so long with no results, I lost my appetite to eat.
I ended up getting the money back to my card the next day, but really that doesn't change the fact that I won't be eating here again. This location is disorganized, understaffed, inexperienced, and painfully slow, and the recent reviews that I've read seem to say the same. Read moreThis location has gone downhill over the last few months. Especially in the evenings. I’ve routinely been getting drinks to clearly have issues with the syrup like tonight after my wife returned. She told me that the person who took the order thought that when she asked to add mustard and onions to the coney she wanted a bun with just mustard and onions on it… She then had to explain to the employee how a chili cheese coney was made… She’s a patient and kind person, so for that to get her flustered is doing something. 🤣
The other day one of the employees walked past my car with what was my order, gave it to the car in the bay next to mine, walked away to a bay that was unoccupied, then was flagged down by the person in the car who gave my order back to them, walked past my car without even asking if the order was mine, walked inside, and didn’t come back out.
I had to press the order button after sitting there for two minutes to get someone to acknowledge my presence, since my order had shown as delivered.
The employee who had failed to deliver my food came back out with the other cars order and another employee (who was clearly agitated) had to come out with my food, which wasn’t even the full order. 😅
Now here’s the thing, everyone up at this location is super friendly and helpful when an issue occurs, but boy are they having a lot of issues. My guess is that a management change has occurred and the new manager is struggling (that might have been the employee who botched my order the other night), but something needs to be done to get this location back on track.
