The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho — Attraction in Idaho Falls

I will be hosting my upcoming Wedding here. ~It's a beautiful place, and the space is perfect for a wedding for a guest list of 100 or less. ~I can't forget to meantion the KIDS ART ROOM, it's spectacular and will definitely be used during the wedding. ~The outdoor space around the museum is beautiful. Right on the Idaho Falls River Walk, the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho is a local champion for the visual arts, founded in 2002.

This attraction puts on captivating and innovative temporary exhibitions in a range of media, and has a growing permanent collection.

There are five galleries to explore, as well as a gift shop with interesting pieces by local artists and an interactive art learning area for children.

Not the biggest, but certainly one of the best art museums I've seen. Well laid out, helpful staff and some really good interactive features for children (and inquisitive "grown-ups").

On the day we visited, a textile artist had her large loom set up and was giving hands-on "test drives" to visitors curious how the beautiful weavings (on display nearby) were made. She also took time to provide more in-depth explanations to specific questions. I'll never look at even a "simple" tapestry the same way again!
