So, we are leaving Carowinds and everybody wanted to stop at Biscuitville. It was around 11:30 in the morning, Sunday, December 4th. Place was hopping! We walked in and it didn't take long at all before we were able to place our order despite it being really busy. We ordered and were given a ticket. We hadn't so much as gotten seated and our name was called. I started to make my way up front and was met by an employee carrying both trays of food. I confirmed the name on the ticket and the employee acknowledged it to be correct. He carried both trays to the table and told us to enjoy. Not only was EVERYTHING correct but what was supposed to be hot was HOT and items that were supposed to be cold were indeed. The order was 100% correct and EVERYTHING was exactly as it had been ordered. The coffee at the drink service area was fresh. The condiments were all stocked to include utensils and napkins. I went to the counter and express my thanks to the employee who took our order and relayed to them our thanks. The restaurant was clean and in orderly fashion. Tables were actively being cleaned and sanitized and there was not a single waste receptacle that either hadn't been tended to or was being tended to. The employees behind the counter we ALL very courteous and all were wearing appropriate attire to include hair netting along with facial hair netting. The restrooms were all well stocked, floors cleaned, waste receptacles attended to and the water from the sink was hot in accordance with DHEC standards for employees to wash with prior to returning to work. It is really nice to see there are still...
Read moreI haven't gone to Biscutville in quite some time. My husband wanted to go before heading out of town on a trip so I said fine even though I think their biscuits are dry. There were 3 of us in the truck and he was the only one that knew what he wanted. We ended up all getting the same combo but ordered them basically one at a time. It wasn't planned, just how it worked out as we were all reading the menu making our choices. The girl asked, frustrated, "HOW MANY combos is this supposed to be??" My husband, understanding the frustration and wanting to speak loudly and clearly over the traffic right in front of the place, spoke louder and enunciated each word. Someone came over the speaker and said, very snarky, "She was just clarifying!!" We knew that. We were just answering. I felt both were rude and could have handled it better. We ordered 3 drinks. There could have been better deduction skills on the number of combos and if that didn't work, just ask nicely how many. We didn't cause the bad day they were obviously having but we certainly were pulled into it. Probably will be another year before we go back again. Customer service doesn't seem to...
Read moreI had been curious about Biscuitville since its recent arrival in the Charlotte area. I won a giveaway that included several coupons and a gift card and we were in the area so we stopped by.
Covid-19: their dining room is currently closed, so it's a drive through only situation.
We two combos. The first was the Ultimate Sausage Biscuit with a Hashbrown and Blueberry Lemonade. The second was the Spicy Chicken and Honey Biscuit with Country Fries and Strawberry Lemonade.
We enjoyed everything. I liked both biscuits, but preferred the Spicy Chicken and Honey. I wish it had more honey though. Both were a little dry and I wanted more sauce. I think the sausage would be good with gravy on it, so I might see if they can do that next time.
Between the sides, I definitely preferred the country fries. I really liked the lemonades. They had actual fruit in them which was great.
The biggest downside is the line. We waited for close to an hour. If we hadn't already been in the area with a gift card to use, I wouldn't have waited.
For fast food (well I guess this wasn't fast for us), this was pretty good. If you can avoid the line, I'd recommend...
