The atmosphere is not the greatest atm, thanks to the remodel. I honestly don't think they could've laid it out in a more claustrophobic, uncomfortable, and uninviting way had that been their actual end goal. There's no longer an open seating area with a glassed view of the patio. It now reminds me of a really outdated dinky diner/ waffle house/ truck stop because it's almost like just a straight line as there's minimal room between the customer and barista area now (it looks like they took 80% - 85% of the total store space for Starbucks Employees Only. So, you walk in, and you're standing between the counter and the whopping 4 teeny tiny short rountops that thankfully nobody uses now. Those tiny tables have no chairs, and there's only 1 bench that serves as the only seating for these tables, and it looks really, really firm. So, if you were to stay, you and the baristas would be stuck staring at each other the entire time, and as someone waiting for the drink creation, you'd be stuck between both the employees AND customers staring at you should anyone decide to cop a squat. The patio isn't much better because they've squeezed 6 tables with chairs onto that small space, and we're taking bets on how long before the cops are called to breakup the fight that erupts between customers who bumped each other trying to sit down, get up or rearrange themselves; there's seriously no room to move out there. They've also greatly decreased their merchandise availability, leaving only a much smaller shelving area with almost nothing compared to the previous store layout. And they've squeezed 2 armchairs at the very end, by the bathrooms no less, that look about as comfy as that sad bench does. TLDR Version: The new layout sucks, and employees and customers hate it. Thankfully, the baristas make a wicked Venti White Chocolate Mocha w/ an extra shot, No Whip & No Foam, or I'd avoid this like the plague. I'm already reducing my consumption and making some at home because I hate what Niccol has done to Starbucks. It's expensive AF, an uncomfortable store, and he's still taking more and more of the little things that made loyal Rewards customers feel like they were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Starbucks Newburgh location is PHENOMENAL. Every single day I either place a mobile order that is ready after my 5-6 minute drive there, and when I go inside to order, I need not speak a word....one glance at me & THEY rattle off my picky drink order & beloved food item (CHEESE DANISH!!!!) because EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE KNOWS IT BY HEART AND REFERS TO ME BY FIRST NAME! This makes me feel extra special : ) Incredible customer service.....Iāve been to the other Starbucks in Evansville, but none of them hold a candle to the Newburgh location. And itās actually not just bc they know me so well....itās because they truly care about making your day better, delivering you a superior drink made CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME, excellent, top-notch management (shout out to May!), baristas who work hard but maintain composure despite this location being crazy busy at certain times throughout the day, and perhaps most importantly, the Newburgh Starbucks knows what teamwork REALLY means & their workflow is FLAWLESS. Every single employee puts in REALLY HARD WORK....but they ALWAYS find time to chat it up with you while making drinks & they often display how close they are as co-workers without compromising quality or service. Every single employee has a fantastic attitude & I know this has to be one reason the Newburgh Starbucks is raking in the money for the franchise. I used to HATE coffee, but for some random reason decided to give Starbucks a try almost 2 years ago (wanted to know what the craze was all about!) and truth be told, my Starbucks order - I take mine home - is my happy place; I am literally comforted by my drink & danish(es). Thank you, Breea, for baking my danishes to absolute perfection! I love every single one of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrive through wait is 30 mins, they make your drinks way ahead of you getting to window, which causes ice to melt, drinks to mix when not supposed to mix. Just ruins the drink over all. If you go inside to beat the line they sometimes have a worker tell you how long it will be before you even make it to the line to order as if they are trying to make you leave before you order. Never have enjough supplies ordered, which i get but when i asked for a warmer sleve for my kids cup the worker was rude about it. So i said can i have a second cup so does not burn the kids hand and i got itll be a minute we are busy. My last straw was 4 Frappuccinos got handed to me looking like soap bubbles. When asked what was wrong with the drink they lady said I don't know, does it taste okay? Like if want to keep it instead of trying to correct it. They looked like no one should drink them and the server asked me to try...
