I won't be returning to this Tumbleweed for several reasons. I've never reviewed a restaurant before but this experience was bad enough that I had to say something. First, my table was somewhat dirty with leftover crumbs when I was seated. Then the wait for my server to first appear was nearly 10 minutes. Help is hard to find these days so I didn't even mention this. Now after ordering you're served the usual chips and salsa but these chips were as much chewy as crunchy; like they were stale or hadn't been fried properly. I munched on them anyway. Everything to this point I overlooked but I finally had to ask my server to check on my order after about a 20-25 minute wait. It arrived a few minutes later and when I bit into the beef burrito deluxe I found it had large chunks of raw onion that were bitter and so crispy it seemed like I was crunching celery.

I decided I'd had enough and asked to see the manager. You'd think if a customer had a problem the manager would come immediately but it took about 10 minutes before she arrived. I then explained what had happened, only addressing the food quality. She proceeded to argue with me that the chips were fine and the burrito is supposed to be full of raw onions. Now I've been to Tumbleweed on numerous occasions and I've never had a burrito served to me like this one. I told her that I didn't want the order re-made so at this point she left without saying what she would do to correct it After another 10 minutes or so my server returned to tell me that they would not charge for the food and only charge me for my drink. I was OK with that as I just wanted to leave.

So after over an hour of being in Tumbleweed I left hungry, frustrated and unhappy. Oh, and as I was about to leave a couple sitting across from me told me that they had a bad dining experience that...

Update!!!

Today I placed a phone order, was told 15 to 20 minutes. I arrived at 25 minutes and still had to wait a bit

Hold on, short attention span folks...

My food was delicious and my server, who had to come to my truck and apologized for the wait (minutes) was delightful. So we're the employees I spoke with on the phone

Today, after all we've all been through together, well, I'll be visiting this Tumbleweed location as my budget allows.

I enjoyed salmon, grilled veg, roasted potatoes with a side of mashed potatoes (☺️) and a side salad.

Salmon was so perfect. Veg great, potato great and mashed worth the addition. So tasty.

I'm saving the salad for later.

Please give this place the shot I've given them, even after the disaster of 4 Years ago. I'm on a mission to visit local places, most of us will be trying to drive close to home due to the cost of gas/diesel.

We Need to circle our wagons. Buy local. Smile. Support each other. Help our neighbors.

This Tumbleweed near Meier's on Charlestown Rd Is there for us. Delicious, hot and still affordable. Great service. Enough said😎

4 years ago, I swore this place off. I'm pretty understanding, for me to give a one star review... Buddy it deserved less.

Today's Tumbleweed is not yesterday's.

You guys are Doing It!! Keep it up and I'll be there to...

Previous Visit: The food was good, the waitress was okay. The wait wasn't long. Was shocked to pass a manager, and the girls that seat you and none said, "thank you stopping in." The manager was up front and the two front girls were sitting on a bench on their phone. Now i will return because the food is really good but wont expect much more then that.

Came back on 03/11/23: Service was horrible, the waitress seemed lost. When we got there, the guy at the front tried sitting us next to a larger party until one of the waitress told him to sit us elsewhere because the girl that would of been our server, had just got a party of 8. So they took up back up front and sat us, a party of 6, in a booth after we requested not to sit in a booth. Most of us got sliders or a burger, which were overcooked. My wife got a Chicken Pasta and had to send it back because it was just gross looking and overly salted. She ended up getting a burger which like the others was overcooked and burnt.

I wont be coming back to this location. It was not even a first choice, other restaurants were longer wait times, guess i should of waited instead of eating at this location. Next time i will wait the over...

I spent about three years hearing about how good this place is before I visited it. With that in mind, I went in thinking there was no way it could meet the lofty expectations thrust upon it by my friends and family. I was right. Somehow this place managed to exceed all of my expectations. From the delightful and attentive server, to the delicious food as pictured here. Visiting America is always a journey for my stomach, and Tumbleweed was my favourite food stop on this trip. The environment doesn't immediately give off cozy vibes, but once seated it's easy to feel like you're the only table in the room. If I could give the service more than five stars, I would. My glass was never empty, and he never came around in that awkward phase right after you take a bite which was very nice. The chips and queso make for an warm up session for the meal. Overall, I am very much looking forward to returning here again, and making it a regular spot for myself and everyone I can drag there with me.

Unfortunately this visit was disappointing. I have eaten at other Tumbleweed franchises, but this experience was not representative of the expected food quality. We were first served a cola beverage that looked like light-colored tea. After bringing the appearance and taste of the drink to our server, it was replaced with a quality cola beverage apologetically. When our meal was served, the mixed vegetables served were not warm, and were visibly over-cooked. These were also apologetically replaced with a serving that was surprisingly picture perfect to the photo from the menu. Unfortunately, these were saturated with oil. Otherwise, the meal was acceptable. Unfortunately, I will not return as not enough attention was being paid to the quality of food being served, which is not good business, which could result in health issues.

I have been a huge Tumbleweed fans for years!! But the last few years, quality goes down every time we go. Today, it was the worst! The queso was so watered down, it was so cold that we had to have our waitress warm it up. Service was so slow and hardly any patrons in there. Waitress was very unfriendly and not attentive for a party of 4. Three of our meals came out, almost ate half of them before our 3rd finally arrived. When notified manager of horrible experience, he looked so bored that even the table next to us commented after he walked away saying he didn’t care what I had to say at all. We paid $70 for the worse quality of food. Most fast food restaurants are well worth $70 more than Tumbleweed did tonight. We will not be going back and you shouldn’t either.
