BIBIBOP Asian Grill — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I would see this place while driving by a lot so I decided to give it a chance. The girl at the counter was very helpful and nice and gave me time to figure out what I wanted. The setup is similar to like Chipotle where you just pick your items to build your bowl. The first thing I noticed was that the rice in the display looked like it was old and the noodles looked off. I picked the dark rice because it was supposed to be more nutrient Rich and I was told it taste the same as regular rice. I added several toppings on top including chicken, avocado, corn, etc. Got double protein. I total ended up about 16 bucks plus tip. I ate it when I got home and I was really disappointed. It seemed like it would taste okay, but nothing in the bowl had any flavor. I tried to pick out things individually to see what they taste like but nothing was good. The only thing that was okay was the noodles. I'm just really disappointed and end up throwing 2/3 of the bowl away because I couldn't eat it anymore. My coworker and I were really excited to try Bibibop Asian Grill for the first time, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. When we walked in, we weren’t greeted or acknowledged at all. We stood at the counter for about 5–7 minutes while the staff member was busy making to-go orders - she never looked up, said hello, or let us know she’d be with us shortly. It felt very unwelcoming. When we finally did get to order and sat down to eat, we were immediately turned off by the taste of the food - especially the broccoli. It was incredibly salty, like it had been soaked in saltwater. It completely ruined the flavor of the entire bowl. Both of us were shocked by how bad it tasted. Between the poor customer service and the inedible food, we left very disappointed. For me, this location is very inconsistent. The first few times I went my food was good, recently it has not been good. The chicken has been extremely dry and bland. Today my chicken was hard like it had been sitting out for a while. One of the workers has a bad attitude and is very snarky. I think it’s the manager. Also on one instance I came when they first opened but they said they wouldn’t be ready for another 45 minutes. Mind you I had been waiting in my car for 10 minutes before they even opened. I was okay with that and left but I feel like they should have offered a free bowl or something for the inconvenience. Let alone they could have informed the people waiting that it would be a while.
