I had a terrible experience with GuruJi Foods. I placed an order on the 26th of September for 15 butter naans (specifically requesting they be cut into quarters) and mixed vegetable pakoras for a birthday party on the 28th. I clearly communicated that I would be picking up the order at 2 PM on the 28th. However, when I arrived at the scheduled time, they informed me that the naans were not ready and only began preparing them after I got there.
This delay caused a 40-minute wait, significantly cutting into my 2-hour event and leaving my guests with much less time to enjoy their meal. The shortened timeframe not only disrupted the flow of the party but also caused unnecessary stress, as we had planned carefully to ensure everyone had enough time to eat and enjoy the celebration.
To make matters worse, they ignored my request to cut the naans into quarters. Instead, they left them in halves, which resulted in significant food wastage as the children couldn't eat entire halves. Additionally, they did not provide any chutney with the pakoras, which is typically expected and standard with such orders.
This kind of service is unacceptable, especially after confirming the order in advance. I expected better from GuruJi Foods, and this experience has left me very disappointed. I would not recommend them for any...

Went in for dosas, asked the girls that were serving were very rude and condescending. We asked for a recommendation on what dosas had what kind of stuffing and she just laughed at us.
We ended up ordering two masala dosas and one came completely burnt. I went up to the counter to ask them to please remake mine as it was burnt and tasted off. The girl said the chef was on break and I would have to wait. I said no worries I will wait.
I waited over 20 minutes and went back to the counter and the girls said the chef was still on break, at which point I asked for a refund on my dosa as my husband was done eating and we wanted to leave.
The girls very rudely told me that there was no refunds and that we would have to wait for the chef to come back and they had no estimated time of wait.
Then she proceeded to call the owner and agian tell us no refunds.
We ended up leaving without me eating and without a refund.
They were a waste of time, rude, no concept of customer service whatsoever, overpriced as there are better dosas with better pricing in the area. Will not be returning. The girls at the front need a lesson in...
Read moreHappy to see a restaurant at Greenwood serving Indian snacks and chaats. We did not have a restaurant specifically serving dosa, vada, idly, paani puri, papdi chaat etc. I have been to Guruji Foods couple of times now. Even ordered through Doordash. Their Aloo paratha, Muli paratha and Gobi paratha are very good. The Masala dosa delivered through Doordash was all soggy and lost its taste. The sambar was also not tasty. Recently I tried their Medu wada which was really good and to my surprise the sambhar this time was quite tasty. Unfortunately I also tried their Paani Puri which was one of the worst I have had in my life. I then tried my luck with Papdi chaat and Dahi Bhalle. Both were disappointments. The paapdi chaat looked nice but the papdis were so hard. Even the Bhalles in the dahi bhalla was so hard. Its the basic requirement of dahi bhalla to have the bhalla soft, but they missed it. I will hope they improve these. Overall 2 stars because there is a lot of opportunity to improve their food especially the chaat menu. Would love to see a good neighborhood...
