Bland food and long waits. My buddy and I walked in and there was no staff or instructions on whether to sit or order at the register. After a few minutes we had to go up to the register to order but the waitress took another couple's order at their table. She was very nice despite the odd ordering style. I ordered the fried chicken and a side of plantains. There were only two other tables of people in the restaurant and it still took 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was cooked very well--hot and crispy--but I don't think they seasoned the chicken and the plantains weren't quite ripe. The spicy cole slaw looking stuff in the plastic container was really good though. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight of the experience.

Chocking Hazard. Worst Tasso Kabrit I’ve ever had. the Akra was soft, but everything was super dry. The goat and plantain felt like they had been frying depi 1804. 8 out 10 pieces of goat still had rough skin on it. And the goat still had that earthy/gamey aroma that should’ve been felt with during the cleaning and cooking process. The tomatoes were tired and the lettuce was discolored. Sitting area was super clean and place was empty when I picked up my plate of dry ass food so I can’t really speak on the atmosphere.

Customer service was good. I got the legumes (mixed vegetables) with rice. Wasn't what I was expecting but the flavor was good. The actual black bean portion of my meal literally had no beans, none, it was just the liquid.

I hate giving blackmowned establishments bad reviews. However, this time, it is warranted. To start, I called this place to ask if they had curry chicken as I really wanted Jamaican food. They young guy on the phone paused so long I thought I was hung up on. As I kept saying hello and he not responding. He finally speaks and says, "Yea it's a Caribbean restaurant what do you think" I was shocked at his tone as I am reading the menu online, it doesn't mention so I called to ask to be certain. Even with his rudeness, I decided to drive 20 mins to this restaurant to try the oxtail dinner. The second I walked in this business has a dirty mop water smell. It was overpowering that I couldn't imagine eating here, although it looked rather clean. A little girl was running around the establishments. There was no one inside, so she had to have been the owners child. The young guy I spoke to on the phone was also at the desk. Headphones on, feet on the desk, and didn't give 2 cents about us standing there waiting for him to take our to go order. When he finally looked up, he came at us with so much conviction that it felt like we were interrupting and inconveniencing him. At that point, I decided to just leave. The establishment stunk so bad that I could have imagined what the BOH looked like. His attitude and demeanor were so rude that I just couldn't bare spending money that I worked so hard for at an establishment who didn't want me there. So needless to say, I didn't try one dish and don't plan on even giving them a second chance. As a business, customer service should be top tier... this one lacks terribly.

Reply to the management: so I'm going to guess that you skipped the part where I said I WALKED INTO YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. Save face elsewhere and change your mop water before mopping your floors....you are also right you had nothing that Inwould have wanted.to eat including the Oxtail that is CLEARLY ON YOUR MENU. The not was I not paid for this review neither was the food at your...
