I like this location because of the food but it seems like when I come here if I come late in the afternoon or evening I feel like that I have to order my food and hurry up and rush out the door I have employees that will stand around and watch me and block off the dining room with chairs and waiting until I leave the restaurant so they can lock the doors I don't think that this is a way to do customers that come in and order almost $30 worth of food they don't have a problem with excepting your money but they sure make you not feel welcome about sitting inside the restaurant instead of going ahead and doing their pre-closing duties that need to be done and give me a chance to eat my meal. I felt like they were hovering over me and wanted me to leave right away. Making a guest feel comfortable in your restaurant is what makes the people want to come back. Hopefully this will get to someone at Poppaw's and they will do something about this location in the way that they treat the guest to come in to the restaurant. Like I said before the food was great but the service and the way the crew treats the guest that come in just is not very pleasing. I know the restaurant does not close completely because their drive-through is open later than the inside. But I was in the restaurant before the closing time. But they still made me feel like that I needed to take my food and get out. So if you want to go there to sit down inside you probably will not feel very welcome. So grab your food and...
Read moreTerrible location, with terrible staff, Food is good IF you get to the point they will take your order.
Do not come here thinking you will get a quick meal, be ready to wait 35 minutes to an hour. Staff will be rude and act like they are doing you the biggest favor in doing their jobs. They actively try to get people to leave, and get out of line.
I have had multiple bad experiences at this location but have given them multiple chances as they are close to home. They handle one order at a time, they cannot multitask to save their lives, and this is true in the drive thru or inside. But for the worst experience head inside where you can actively see them roll their eyes and sigh at you that you want to order food from the place that pays them.
They are not short staffed there are dozens of people in the back on their phones, gossiping, ignoring beeping equipment, ignoring customers, and complaining as loudly as they can to make sure that the customers are included on their conversations.
I am willing to wait for good food, but this place is ridiculous. I don't even expect a smile with my food... but come on, how hard is it to have a person taking orders, a runner, a person assembling orders... Very inefficient,...
Read moreI’ve consistently had great experiences at this location—sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but the food is always fresh and worth it. However, tonight was disappointing.
After picking up my order and returning home, I realized my upgraded side of mac and cheese was missing. I called the store and spoke with a manager. I explained the situation, and he kindly said he could replace the item, which I appreciated. However, he requested the receipt. I checked my bag and found that the receipt had not been included—only the order slip was there.
I told him I had proof of payment via my debit card, but he insisted he had personally placed the receipt in the bag. I informed him that a woman had actually packed my order, and we even had a brief conversation unrelated to the food. He responded that without the receipt, there was nothing he could do. When I asked for the corporate contact information to escalate the issue, he claimed he didn’t know the number and abruptly hung up.
This was incredibly disappointing, especially given how much I usually enjoy this location. I hope this issue can be addressed so that others don’t experience the same...
