A Disappointing and Heartless Experience
I regret to share an incredibly disappointing experience I had with this Domino's Pizza recently (ordered January-18-2025 around 9:55PM. Address: Capitol Avenue Indianapolis). I had always trusted Domino's for quality and efficiency, but my recent interaction has left me feeling utterly disappointed and frankly, quite hurt. I have been ordering and enjoying Domino's my whole life. But I don't think I will ever come back and I would advise everyone to turn away honestly.
I placed an order through the Domino's app in good faith, intending to provide a warm and enjoyable meal for my family. However, the delivery took a dire turn when I was informed by the driver that my order was handed over to someone else who supposedly claimed my name. It's important to note that this person was not me, I don't know who that was.
Reaching out to rectify this mistake turned into a frustrating ordeal. After numerous attempts to contact the driver and the store, I finally managed to get through. I explained that we were left with nothing to feed my family, hoping for a compassionate resolution. Sadly, the response I received was anything but empathetic. The delivery driver and manager dismissed my plight, essentially telling me it wasn't their concern. The lack of humanity in their reply was appalling.
I inquired if they could describe the person who improperly received my order or at least inform me of the apartment entrance to which it was delivered, so I could follow up with the apartment management. Shockingly, they refused to provide any details (said it's not their business basically) leaving me to decipher the situation myself. This gave me the unsettling impression that the situation was handled negligently and perhaps with underlying racial biases. It felt disregarded and invalidated. I didn't mind that much someone else stole my order, it was the fact of how cruel the response was, that was disappointing.
Despite my request for them to make it right – whether through a refund, a credit, or simply a sincere acknowledgment of the issue – I was met with zero assistance. The absence of compassion and basic customer service left me disheartened.
I don't desire for the manager or the driver to face termination as a result of this complaint. Instead, I sincerely hope they reflect on their actions and develop a deeper sense of empathy for their customers. No one should be made to feel dismissed and unheard, especially after such a distressing incident.
Ultimately, I was advised to visit dominos.com to resolve my dispute. While I intend to follow this recommendation, I am sharing my experience here to highlight the need for improvement in customer service at this Domino's.
I truly hope that Domino's takes these experiences to heart and employs more considerate approaches in the future. A display of compassion can profoundly affect a customer's experience. Regrettably, this experience has tarnished my perception of a brand I once held in...
Read moreThe food here gave me horrible food poisoning. I ordered wings, bread and lava cakes from this place around midnight last Friday, an hour before they closed. They apparently forgot something because I watched as they went back and forth on the map tracker between someone else's order and back to the store before they got it to me. By then it had been nearly an hour. I live close by.
By the time I got it the wings temperature was not hot, just warm, and there was something off about the texture. Kind of squishy for wings. I'd never had them from here so I didn't have a benchmark for how they usually are from this company. I was hungry from having not eaten all day and chose to trust them and wrote off the texture as being due to the sauce soaking into them.
I ate what I could with the intention of making the rest last another couple meals. Never made it that far. Saturday I woke up due to incredible pain that was so intense I could not fall asleep, and spent the rest of the weekend puking and miserable. This was some of the worst pain of my life. I missed a day of work and spent the other four workdays (including today) in pain from the lingering effects of whatever on earth was done wrong to this food.
This experience cost me a weekend of rest I direly needed and a day's worth of labor. I am still in rough shape a week later as I write this. I don't want the company to 'make it right' by offering more of what hurt me. I just want people to not experience what I went through and to...
Read moreHonestly I would give this Domino’s location 0 stars if I could. We placed an order at 10:42 pm on a Friday. We had called the store but never got an answer, despite multiple attempts, so we ordered online. We did not see an update on the status of the order so we called to confirm the order and, after multiple calls before they answered, we were told, “We’ve been trying to reach you to cancel your order” (false - had no emails or calls and our phones were out and ringers on). They said the Pacer game resulted in their being told no deliveries because of road closures. I have lived in downtown Indianapolis since 2012 and have never heard of roads being closed for Pacer games, especially where we were located and calling from (just north of Mass ave). We asked to speak to a manager and were told the individual on the phone was the manager. When I asked for their name, I was hung up on. I have honestly never experienced such atrocious customer service. We had to call numerous times from multiple phones before anyone answered and were only successful on one occasion. We were never notified that our order was cancelled until we called the store 20 times, we were charged despite never receiving anything, and the subsequent customer service was perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen. Do...
