I came in last night to enjoy a drink after a long day. While trying to enjoy my drink and relax i witnessed Victor the manager over react when he physically grabbed a customer trying to speak to the bartender about his food. This was VERY VERY unprofessional of a â MANAGER â âŚ. to grab a customer the way he did. Very much was over stepping and was a mis-use of authority. AVOID OLLYS DOWNTOWN at all costs. Mainly the evening time. This place is ran very poorly. Never have I ever witnessed something like this. It is supposed to be a â Welcoming â environment but now I have to fear for my peace when trying to relax at one of my USED TO BE FAVORITE bars. As a regular it upset me to see that they have someone this unprofessional running the operations at this location. Manager was running through the bar yelling â HES BANNED HES BANNEDâ in front of NUMEROUS guests. An unwarranted ban on a customer just trying to place an order at an overcrowded and understaffed bar. Personally being understaffed iâm not surprised the way â management â if thatâs what you want to call them operate this establishment. As a current manager at my own Employment I would NEVER cause a scene like this if I had ANY time of altercation or conversation with a guest that had an issue.It wouldâve stayed a 1/1 conversation instead of now grabbin the WHOLE bars attention over something so little? A simple conversation between the customer and manager wouldâve been justified but the way that the MANAGER handled it I was more then BAFFLED. iâll be making reviews and spreading the word to NUMEROUS ollyâs regulars to not return due to this. After being a regular for 3+ years again NEVER EVER EVER have i EVER experienced such unprofessionalism, lack of proper training etcâŚ. I was going to mind my business until I saw the manager â VICTOR â physically grab said customer. NEVER IS THIS ALLOWED ANYWHERE. Truthfully in Downtown Indy I was surprised he felt this was okay considering it couldâve went South very quickly and went a whole different way then it did. The customer was very calm , collected and patient with the manager even after being PHYSICALLY touched again which is NEVER OKAY? This was all on camera as well. The inside altercation from the manager , the scene he made yelling IN FRONT OF GUESTS INCLUDING MYSELF. Who wants to experience that in a â welcoming happy environment â. I hope the camera footage is pulled because this is not okay in the slightest. Iâll be sure to spread the word for everyone to not attend ANY TYPE of event , promo , anything going on at Ollyâs until they can get better management, learn how to properly train their staff â management mainly â. The Poor bartenders just trying to make their money when you have managers coming in and effecting their tip or the money they couldâve possibly made due to over abusing their authority. Love my two favorite bartenders last night but Victor needs to be TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY. Ridiculous you can even run an establishment knowing you have MANAGERS physically touching customers instead of calmly speaking to them if they have an issue. The staff was far from friendly. It took a little while for us to even be greeted once we sat down.
While there, they offer these lottery ticket pull games. I spent $120 on them. After my first $80 purchases, I decided to count how many the machine had actually given me. The machine was off by a few dollars worth of tickets. I said something to the staff. She counted them and agreed the machine had been shorting me. She texted the manager to come help.
The manager arrived and had an attitude from the jump. Using the term napoleon complex seems the most fitting. They made multiple comments about how their machines donât just short people and had an attitude about the entire situation. I tried my best to address how they were being rude and they got more rude so I reciprocated the same energy. The manager then threw a fit and said I was drunk and had too much to drink and I had to leave before they would call the cops. Mind you, Iâm straight edge. I donât drink alcohol. I wasnât drunk. This person had a pissy attitude and shouldnât work in customer service if they have ZERO comprehension skills on how to resolve issues.
They refused to pay me the money their machine had stolen from me. They refused to address the situation professionally. I offered to handle it outside since they were in such a fit. The manager just proceeded to talk shit the entire time as if they were some victim when Iâm the one who got shorted a few dollars. All this was over less than $10. How pathetic of them.
I walked out to the car while my guest awaited our food. We had to take our food to go and it was the worst burgers weâve ever had.
Terrible management. Terrible food.
Donât waste your time coming to this poor establishment. Poor food cooked by poor cooks managed by poor attitudes.

   Read moreMy favorite late night bar in Indy! But our server tonight, Michelle ruined it. We went to Dominoâs but it was closed so we ended up going to Ollyâs. Michelle gave us menus then when we told her that itâs for take out, she seems to lost her interest. I think she assumed that weâre not going to give her tips. We waited 15 minutes then she came back, she told us itâs going to be a while as she has to run few orders and she told us to go the bar to order. Me and my friend were shocked. She came back after 15 minutes to take our order, I told her to donât worry, we will tip her then she became nice again. After giving giving her a generous tip, Michelle said âthank you very much, can I offer you water while you wait for your foodâ we refused âIâll be back with your food as soon as itâs readyâ? đ¤Łđ¤Ł. Disgusting! While waiting for our food, we saw her chit-chatting with other customers and on her phone while our food was at the bar waiting to be picked up 10 minutes ago. My friend got annoyed and went to the bar to pick up the food.
