Subway — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Walked in today at noon with a couple of men in front of me. The lady taking the gentleman’s order asked for his phone, I assume he was reading an order off of it and it would be easier for her. She takes the phone in her hand, switches hands and proceeds to make his sandwich not realizing that she is touching the food after handling phone (and did this twice with the phone and the same gloves) No big deal - his phone, his sandwich. Right? Until you notice she grabs more toppings than she needs and throws the remainder back into the container which now has contaminated all of the food. Cellphones have 10 x more germs than a toilet seat including E. coli. I had to walk away and I will never go back. Please train your staff on the importance of good hygiene when handling food (that isn’t cooked) and just because you have gloves on doesn’t mean you can...

LOVED the fact that "everyone's uncle" greets and conversates with everyone who orders there. He even knew what multiple folks in line were going to order before they said a word. He just did his thing with the meats, and instructed the veges girl accordingly, while holding a whole other convo with each customer as the line moved. He likes everybody and everybody likes him. I've only met him once, but I can tell that he is a treasure! Experiences like this are what will keep people coming back to a place. I used to go to this subway but the people and service has changed. They put up barriers where you cannot watch them put the meat on your sandwich. This is actually what makes subway! So I am not sure what kind of meat they are putting on my sandwich! I dont know if its old or not! After seeing what happened with Jordans I do not trust this location anymore. I need to find a new location where "familiar faces" are serving my food. Why do you have to hide the meat if nothing is wrong with it??
