Corner Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Irving

I’ve come to this location many times and I’ve had great experiences with my orders and the staff. Today I came in to get an iced caramel macchiato, which is what I have been getting the last two times I’ve ordered. The guy who was taking my order was a tall white guy with a beard, a bit on the taller side. He seemed nice, when I received my order it was wrong, it was a hot caramel macchiato when I asked for iced. I didn’t think anything of it and told him I asked for an iced macchiatoHe said he didn’t catch that part of the order, saying when he repeated the order back to me and he said caramel macchiato and I said that’s correct, he said that I didn’t say it was supposed to be iced even though I said an iced caramel macchiato when I gave him the order. I didn’t know there was a difference and got a bit annoyed but just thought whatever and asked if he could make me the iced version. He then proceeded to just dump ice into the hot macchiato that he made and said the only difference between the iced and the hot is that one has ice and the other doesn’t. I’m not stupid and I know there is a difference. 1. Because I’ve had an iced caramel macchiato before. 2. It tasted nothing like an iced caramel macchiato. And 3. The process for making the two drinks are different. He wasn’t even using the cup they used for iced drinks. I couldn’t even taste the caramel. When I asked for some more caramel he then proceeded to say. “I already gave you 4 pumps.” He said it very rudely and in a condescending way, and said it as if I had asked for more pumps already but I hadn’t. And he then proceed to charge me a dollar for a singular extra pump of caramel. I then just decided to leave the bakery since it was clear he didn’t know how to make a iced caramel macchiato and he was getting on my nerves with his incompetence. and I went to a different corner bakery location an hour later and asked for a iced caramel macchiato, they then proceeded to provide me with an amazing service, they were very kind and polite and I enjoyed talking with them. Had the Italian sandwich & tomato basil soup it was yummy & they gave me a loaf of biscotti free ! Love it !that was yrs ago I’ve been back many times since and everything I’ve had was always awesome 👏,today my sister and I had breakfast 🥞 it was yummy the counter girl Robin made my coffee & was so sweet it was sooo good,had lunch there weeks before and she made my coffee then too it was awesome,absolutely love Corner Bakery ! Keep up the good work! The crew on Sunday mornings is so nice & quick with the food ,I’ve had many things on the menu including the cranberry orange muffins are to die for ! Go there if you haven’t been ! Went there again Sunday august 10 2025 I had bacon egg and cheese, tomato croissant sandwich with my usual caramel macchiato coffee. ☕️ My sister had her usual pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon and coffee. It was so good. The sandwich was so fresh and hot. The bacon was cooked just right croissant nice and flaky. my coffee was made by a girl named Mercedes And it was fabulous. I think it’s the best caramel macchiato I’ve ever had and I told her that & she was so happy 😁 so I’m giving her five stars for her coffee making talent and 5 stars ⭐️ for her cuteness & 5 stars ⭐️ more for Robin for being so polite 10 stars ⭐️ to the crew of corner bakery for Sunday’s wonderful breakfast ! good atmosphere ,friendly people there my sister and I love going there. August 31 2025 went there this morning for breakfast as always WONDERFUL SERVICE A MOST AWESOME Caramel ☕️macchiato coffee from Mercedes and Robin was just as sweet today as aways ❤️the manager there is very friendly very nice person to talk to love that place. We are there all the time and their cranberry orange muffins are so good. They sell fast. I’m lucky to get one when I go I absolutely love that place and love the crew 20 ⭐️ stars for them today.!!! My sisters and I decided to have a girls day out and we also decided to go to Corner Bakery for lunch! Corner Bakery has always been a favorite of ours until today! One sister ordered a panini sandwich with a cup of baked potato soup. Both were displayed at the entrance and looked very good. When she received her meal, her panini had been changed to a regular sandwich on wheat bread and a cup of potato soup that was barely warm! Another sister received her DCChicken salad sandwich on a croissant but there was hardly any chicken salad and worse than that, only a couple pieces of chicken in that salad. The soup was okay because it was for my sister’s son. A third sister ordered her meal last but received her food about 15-20 minutes before mine arrived. She ordered a sandwich, salad and soup and her meal was fine. They finally decided to go ahead and bring out my potato soup which was okay, but not great! When I finally received my DC Chicken Salad on a croissant, I received a croissant that was falling apart and less than 1/4 cup of chicken salad on my sandwich! Needless to say we were all still hungry and decided to forego the desserts. The desserts looked old and dried out and we didn’t want to get taken again, so we decided to go to the yogurt shop next door for dessert, which was yummy delicious!!
