Terrible experience.

Staff: The number of staff were extremely limited for the number of people seated. They unfortunately had a friendship day event as part of the same space and hence it was extremely noisy and loud. Would have appreciated if the friendship day event was held at a separate hall away from the main area. Or at least an advance notice was given up front that there is an event happening today. Courtesy from waiters were less. You won’t be able to get the waiters attention unless you scream “excuse me” .

Food & drinks: I asked for water around 7.40 pm and got water around 8.30 pm. Around 7.30 pm the restaurant was barely full and you’d expect your water would at least get delivered to you. Appetizers were given to us around 9pm. And entree around 10pm.

Note that I came to the restaurant at 7.30 and the Time I got my entrée.

Temperature at the restaurant: The temperature was hot and it wasn’t properly air conditioned making you want water , but don’t count on it because it’s gonna take time to get to you.

Menu: The menu had many number of pages with many food items , but we were told on many items that they’re not available , or that some items would take about 40 minutes. You’d rather just give up eating at that point because what’s the point when you spent some time to go through the extensive paged menu to come up with a decision. Time for changing the menu to be a one pager.

Food quality: The food was average. Alright. Not great. not bad for mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani. Could have added at least 10-15 pieces instead there were merely 5-6 tiny pieces.

Chettinad chicken looked way yellow and was more gravy since there weren’t many pieces. We had paneer and chicken appetizers which was extremely garlicky as if 10-15 garlics were added per dish. A friend at the table had dosa which was served cold after 45 mins with frozen chutney.

Bottom line - I wouldn’t come here again but would suggest to get more staff if an event is held or if there are more customers. There seems to be no manager overlooking on how each table is attended to or whether food is delivered on time . Provide updates on ordered items to the customers so that customers know that you remember that they had ordered it. In my case; we came to the restaurant when it was half empty and we were still not given the hospitality we needed. Food wasn’t spectacularly awesome as what previous reviews...

I recently ordered takeout from Foodistaan restaurant that I had heard mixed reviews about, but I was unprepared for just how disappointing the experience would be. From the quality of the food to the level of service and the portion sizes, this takeaway meal was nothing short of a disaster.

Worst Food: The food I received was, without a doubt, the worst I've ever had from a takeaway. I ordered a supposedly "gourmet" dish, and it tasted like it had been cooked without any care or consideration for flavor. It was bland, overcooked, and lacked any discernible seasoning. I couldn't believe I had paid a premium for something that tasted this bad.

Expensive Dishes: What added insult to injury was the exorbitant prices on their takeaway menu. I understand that quality comes at a price, but there was no justification for the astronomical costs. It felt like a rip-off, especially considering the dismal quality of the food. I expected to pay more for a higher-end meal, but this was just highway robbery.

Worst Service: The takeaway experience was not any better in terms of service. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was met with indifference from the staff. They seemed disorganized and inattentive, which only added to my frustration. It's as if they didn't care whether I had a good experience or not.

Too Less Quantity for Price: To top it all off, the portion sizes were ridiculously small for the prices charged. I felt like I had ordered an appetizer, not a main course. It's one thing to pay a premium for takeaway food, but it's another to pay a premium for what felt like a mere sample size.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against ordering takeaway from this restaurant. The combination of terrible food, sky-high prices, apathetic service, and minuscule portions make it a complete waste of money. Save yourself the disappointment and find a more reliable and customer-focused establishment for your next...

I recently ordered from Foodistan with the hope of enjoying a satisfying vegetarian meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The vegetarian food I ordered was extremely disappointing, and to my shock, I found a bone in my vegetable sabji.

When ordering from a restaurant, especially as a vegetarian, one expects a certain level of quality and adherence to dietary preferences. However, Foodistan failed to meet these expectations. The vegetarian dishes I received were lackluster in terms of taste and presentation. They lacked the vibrant flavors and attention to detail that I had anticipated.

Moreover, discovering a bone in my vegetable sabji was truly disheartening. It not only raised concerns about the kitchen’s hygiene practices but also highlighted a significant lapse in quality control. As a vegetarian, such an incident can be deeply unsettling, as it compromises the trust one places in the restaurant to provide a safe and reliable dining experience.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ordering vegetarian food from Foodistan. It is important for restaurants to prioritize the quality and integrity of their dishes, especially when catering to specific dietary preferences. I hope that Foodistan takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their vegetarian offerings, ensuring a better experience for future customers.

In the future, I would advise caution when ordering from Foodistan, particularly if you are seeking a satisfying vegetarian meal. It is essential to find a restaurant that respects and caters to your dietary choices, and unfortunately, Foodistan fell short of meeting those...

If I get option i would give zero to this place. I really don't think this place needs robo. the food we ordered here was adrakwala chicken, it tasted well but we ordered green chutney with that and they gave us mayonise. Even we ordered roasted papad and I m shocked our waiter did not know what was roasted papad and she asked us thrice and then we were okay with getting fried papad but it never came to our table. we also asked for malai kofta and she replied we do not have that but the only thing they have is malai bun 😂😂 then we ordered kadai paneer but it did not have any taste at all. there service was really slow all the things we ordered we had to ask twice for that and wait for long time, they did not have more than 2 tables but still it was so slow or either they forget everything. I asked for two three items but they don't even know about the food they are selling and which is there on their menu. I would definitely not recommend and even we gave them feedback while paying but they did not even apologize for papad not arriving at our table even after ordering but she only said okay. so, if they do not care about their customers I don't think it is worth going to this place. Even you can look how this food is served in pictures.Look at the bowl of rice, we also ordered butter milk and it was so warm that we ordered ice and that took like 15-20 mins.

Good food at a good value! In an economy where everything is super expensive, it was nice to find this spot with good meal portions at reasonable prices! This restaurant is casual and decorated nicely. The menu is overwhelmingly large, and at first was rather intimidating but after reading it over it was a bit more simplified than I thought. Basically they have set items that can be made in different variations. Like Manchurian or 65 style but you have the option of gobi, paneer, or even chicken in that particular style. (It was something new and i hadn’t seen anything like that before) However you do need to speak to the server and make sure they have the items you’re wanting, as a few thing we chose from the menu were not available. We went with a samosa, papdi chaat, chicken 65, and vinaywadi biryani. I had asked for a very mild chaat and to counter the spices that added a boatload of yogurt… and still it was super spicy not the best tasting thing but it was filling. The samosa was good- as a samosa should be. The chicken 65 was good and the biryani was packed with flavor! The coolest part of this experience was the robot service! Something we had not seen- but was really neat to observe. Overall the food was good, the portions were nice, and prices was reasonable!

Venturing into Foodistaan for their breakfast buffet proved to be a delightful start to the day. Priced at $9 plus tax per head, the South Indian breakfast buffet offered a tempting spread that included Poori, Vada, Idly, and a standout Peanut Chutney, among other delectable options as seen in the attached menu photo. The tasteful interior atmosphere, combined with thoughtful decorations and ample dining space, enhanced the overall dining experience. The exclusive focus on vegetarian options for the breakfast buffet was notable, providing a variety of flavors for plant-based enthusiasts. While the breakfast buffet earned positive reviews, the suggestion of adding coconut chutney and mint chutney to the menu could elevate the dining experience further. It's worth exploring the lunch, evening snacks, and chat buffets offered by Foodistaan, as they promise more culinary adventures. In summary, Foodistaan Indian Restaurant's breakfast buffet was a flavorful journey into South Indian cuisine, showcasing good taste and a pleasant ambiance. With the potential addition of coconut and mint chutneys, the already satisfying experience could become even more delightful.
