Terrible experience.
Staff: The number of staff were extremely limited for the number of people seated. They unfortunately had a friendship day event as part of the same space and hence it was extremely noisy and loud. Would have appreciated if the friendship day event was held at a separate hall away from the main area. Or at least an advance notice was given up front that there is an event happening today. Courtesy from waiters were less. You won’t be able to get the waiters attention unless you scream “excuse me” .
Food & drinks: I asked for water around 7.40 pm and got water around 8.30 pm. Around 7.30 pm the restaurant was barely full and you’d expect your water would at least get delivered to you. Appetizers were given to us around 9pm. And entree around 10pm.
Note that I came to the restaurant at 7.30 and the Time I got my entrée.
Temperature at the restaurant: The temperature was hot and it wasn’t properly air conditioned making you want water , but don’t count on it because it’s gonna take time to get to you.
Menu: The menu had many number of pages with many food items , but we were told on many items that they’re not available , or that some items would take about 40 minutes. You’d rather just give up eating at that point because what’s the point when you spent some time to go through the extensive paged menu to come up with a decision. Time for changing the menu to be a one pager.
Food quality: The food was average. Alright. Not great. not bad for mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani. Could have added at least 10-15 pieces instead there were merely 5-6 tiny pieces.
Chettinad chicken looked way yellow and was more gravy since there weren’t many pieces. We had paneer and chicken appetizers which was extremely garlicky as if 10-15 garlics were added per dish. A friend at the table had dosa which was served cold after 45 mins with frozen chutney.
Bottom line - I wouldn’t come here again but would suggest to get more staff if an event is held or if there are more customers. There seems to be no manager overlooking on how each table is attended to or whether food is delivered on time . Provide updates on ordered items to the customers so that customers know that you remember that they had ordered it. In my case; we came to the restaurant when it was half empty and we were still not given the hospitality we needed. Food wasn’t spectacularly awesome as what previous reviews...
Read moreI recently ordered takeout from Foodistaan restaurant that I had heard mixed reviews about, but I was unprepared for just how disappointing the experience would be. From the quality of the food to the level of service and the portion sizes, this takeaway meal was nothing short of a disaster.
Worst Food: The food I received was, without a doubt, the worst I've ever had from a takeaway. I ordered a supposedly "gourmet" dish, and it tasted like it had been cooked without any care or consideration for flavor. It was bland, overcooked, and lacked any discernible seasoning. I couldn't believe I had paid a premium for something that tasted this bad.
Expensive Dishes: What added insult to injury was the exorbitant prices on their takeaway menu. I understand that quality comes at a price, but there was no justification for the astronomical costs. It felt like a rip-off, especially considering the dismal quality of the food. I expected to pay more for a higher-end meal, but this was just highway robbery.
Worst Service: The takeaway experience was not any better in terms of service. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was met with indifference from the staff. They seemed disorganized and inattentive, which only added to my frustration. It's as if they didn't care whether I had a good experience or not.
Too Less Quantity for Price: To top it all off, the portion sizes were ridiculously small for the prices charged. I felt like I had ordered an appetizer, not a main course. It's one thing to pay a premium for takeaway food, but it's another to pay a premium for what felt like a mere sample size.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against ordering takeaway from this restaurant. The combination of terrible food, sky-high prices, apathetic service, and minuscule portions make it a complete waste of money. Save yourself the disappointment and find a more reliable and customer-focused establishment for your next...
Read moreI recently ordered from Foodistan with the hope of enjoying a satisfying vegetarian meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The vegetarian food I ordered was extremely disappointing, and to my shock, I found a bone in my vegetable sabji.
When ordering from a restaurant, especially as a vegetarian, one expects a certain level of quality and adherence to dietary preferences. However, Foodistan failed to meet these expectations. The vegetarian dishes I received were lackluster in terms of taste and presentation. They lacked the vibrant flavors and attention to detail that I had anticipated.
Moreover, discovering a bone in my vegetable sabji was truly disheartening. It not only raised concerns about the kitchen’s hygiene practices but also highlighted a significant lapse in quality control. As a vegetarian, such an incident can be deeply unsettling, as it compromises the trust one places in the restaurant to provide a safe and reliable dining experience.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ordering vegetarian food from Foodistan. It is important for restaurants to prioritize the quality and integrity of their dishes, especially when catering to specific dietary preferences. I hope that Foodistan takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their vegetarian offerings, ensuring a better experience for future customers.
In the future, I would advise caution when ordering from Foodistan, particularly if you are seeking a satisfying vegetarian meal. It is essential to find a restaurant that respects and caters to your dietary choices, and unfortunately, Foodistan fell short of meeting those...
