Tacomex Las Colinas — Restaurant in Irving

I've been here twice this week. First time tried their #7 (3 carnitas taco plate-flour with rice and beans) for $8.75. Absolutely delish!! The meat is off the chain and the tortillas are homemade. You also get chips and salsa with your meal.

Came today and I got 3 breakfast tacos. Breakfast is served until 11am. I got one sausage and egg and 2 bacon and egg tacos. My boyfriend got a bacon and egg and a chorizo and egg. These are good size breakfast tacos. The ingredients are fresh, no powdered eggs here! Does not come with cheese or onions, so you'll need to ask for those if you want them, which come at an additional cost.

With any meal you get two sauces brought to your table. One is green and has a delicious taste with very little kick and a red sauce (I didn't try) my boyfriend says was amazing but has a kick to it that creeps up on you.

There are no fountain drinks. All drinks are purchased separately. Not that big of a deal to me.

The place only has 9 tables so it is small but dont let that fool you. For the 20 mins we were there about 15 people came in, some to-go some dined in.

Overall, this is one of my new favorite spots for legit street tacos close to my house! We will be coming here again... And again......

I have never tried lunch at this place. Needed a quick option close to work! Stopped by and ordered Monterey Chicken with Corn Tortilla’s

They served complimentary chips and salsa. Entree was served in next 5 months.

Chips were bit salty but salsa was good!

Chicken was cooked to perfection, Red salsa was amazing. Has very good heat, I added to the tomatillo salsa that came along with chips and that took the test level.

Corn tortilla were thin and did not hold well, but tasted good!

Will try other options next time I visit. ————-

Stopped by for quick breakfast, placed order on phone and it was ready by the time I got there.

Ordered Chorizo Egg and Cheese Taco and Sausage Egg and Cheese Taco. Both tacos were delicious and sauce take it next level

I don’t know how I missed this place for so many years. This is a hidden gem! Restaurant has good seating and ambience.

Tacos were ready in no time. Tacos were hot and delicious and service with a sauce for each taco.

Loved the food, I am going to go back for trying more options. This place is bang...

We ordered a torta, flautas, crispy tacos, and a cheeseburger, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The torta stood out the most — it was rich, flavorful, and reminded me of the ones I’ve enjoyed in Mexico. The ingredients felt fresh and authentic, and the seasoning was just right. The crispy tacos and flautas had a perfect crunch, and even the cheeseburger held its own, which is impressive considering it’s not the star of a Mexican menu.

What I appreciated most was the genuine feel of the food — no shortcuts, just real, comforting, Mexican flavors in a laid-back setting. If you're in or around Irving, this is a solid stop for a quick, tasty, and affordable meal. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a local, even if you’re just passing through. I’ll definitely be coming back next time...
