I didn't expect much but I mean the level of incompetence at the pharmacy is unreal. I call ahead to verify they had the vaccine that I wanted, show up, told they don't provide the vaccine today (which I made an appointment ahead of time) and am told to just walk in next Friday instead by, who I can only assume, the pharmacist (only one allowed to wear a labcoat). Ok sure, I can do that, I'm not unreasonable. They have to use a whole vial at a time for this one; so, Okay fine.
Thus, I do that and show up on Friday morning and they say now I need an appointment. So I try to make an appointment and the QR code on the sign to make appointments doesn't even bring up the correct store. I try to find it on the site and then it doesn't even work when I find it. Then they ask me to come back in 5 hours instead as if I have a whole day to waste on them. I am reasonably upset at this point so then they say they'll work me in. Fair enough for what they've put me through. THEN their system says I can't get one as it's been too soon BECAUSE it shows they gave me one Wednesday when they turned me away!
If it was a staffing issue I could let some of it slide but I can't even blame it on that as the pharmacy is packed behind the desk. There isn't even a line waiting and the phones aren't ringing off the hook. I've seen some hectic places and this is the definition of calm. I mean I'm not a regular customer of Walgreens and this pretty much settles me as never being a customer again if I...
Read moreLiars that do not know what they are doing. I called to check on prescription, they said they did not receive anything from doctor and then said they could have it quickly if the doctors office called them. I immediately called my doctors office who immediately called and faxed in my prescription. When I got to the pharmacy an hour later, they said they do not have any on hand to fill my prescription, in fact they just sold out. They also said all they received was a fax from the doctor and if the doctor had called they would have been able to get it filled. Except the doctor did call and has the call recorded with them saying it was on hand and would get filed under my name. They had to send me to another location and I had to change my doctor appointment time because they decided to lie to my doctors office and then to me. why couldn't they tell me when I called them an hour prior that they wouldn't have enough to fill my prescription? why couldn't they tell my doctors office when they called? why couldn't they fill the prescription when they spoke with my doctor and actually had it on hand? why did they lie about talking to my doctor? I called an hour ahead of time to make sure I would have the prescription ready to take to my doctors office to be administered on time. Because of this pharmacy I was 45 min late to my doctors appointment!!! All because a pharmacy decided to lie and not...
Read more45 minutes wait to fill up Tamaflu prescription medicine when the patient record and the pharmacy insurance was already there in the system. This happened on 20th Jan 2018(Saturday) at around 9:50 am. Sorry guys you are far from efficient. Tamaflu is not something you are making - it's already there in the bottle - you are just mixing. Mixing process takes less than 1 minute. Authorization from the Express Scripts takes place in less than 2 minutes. Amex Chip Credit card swipe takes less than 15 seconds. Patient was sitting in front of you for the entire 45 minutes. Typical dirty business tactics of the pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens - keep the Pharmacy diagonally opposite from the entrance. Delay the entire order processing so that patients spend more time in the shop and buy the other non required stuff while waiting. More than Insurance these pharmacies sucks. Worst thing - they have outsourced all their IT jobs from their Chicago suburban offices to Indian IT companies to make huge profit margins. Come Apr 2019-I am dealing with worst possible Pharmacy manager Reema who simply think that she is doing a favor by working here. What an attitude towards the customers. She has "N" number of ways not to help somebody. Avoid...
