Stay away from this restaurant. Bad, Dishonest, Deceitful, etc.
Got sick after eating some of the food - Upset and Heavy Stomach, Stomach ache, Diarrhea, Sleep Disruption, bit of a Fever, Headache, Nausea.
Chicken Tikka Biryani was not Biryani, just a lot of white rice and some chicken.
Garlic Naan was very thin, Soggy, Doughy (undercooked). I wouldn't even call it a Naan. Naans are supposed to be fluffy and thick. Got charged $2.99 for this horrible little piece of undercooked food. I can get a nice, good quality full loaf of multigrain bread for that price.
Samosas IMO were not made fresh at the restaurant but were heated up frozen samosas that you can find in the frozen section of an Indian grocery store. Samosas were all put in a small brown paper bag which sucked all the oil from samosas making them dry. Bad packaging. Samosas were small for the price. One of the samosas were broken.
All the food was cold.
Gulab jamun was not good.
All the food containers were piled on in one plastic bag which was barely together when I received the delivery. Bad packaging. What are they trying to save, a plastic bag or two. Other Restaurants do this as well. Don't understand it.
On top of all this UberEATS delivered the food late.
Spoke to the owner (and manager) of the restaurant regarding refund, health injury from food, etc. to no avail. No resolution. Same with UberEATS. No resolution.
As I said at the top of the review, stay away from this restaurant and save yourself from a...
Read moreTerrible experience!! I was in the thought that I would be surprised to have a nice delicious dinner on a Friday night in this new restaurant, but it turned to be nightmarish. Ordered Roti, plain Naan & garlic naan and a bowl of white rice with Murgh Achaari & Murgh Lajawaab curries. Lajawaab means priceless in English, this was totally WORTHLESS!!
Firstly the roti was hard and was dry and tasteless. Then coming to the curries, both the curries had similar textured chicken. Chicken was processed and frozen and cut into pieces to be mixed with curry according to the names in the menu. Murgh Lajawaab was like milk, mixed with cashew paste and mixed with chicken pieces that was absolutely tasteless, bland and only chilli powder. Murgh Achaari was little better in the beginning compared to the Lajawaab but later realized that it had the same base curry, no flavor of the achaar(pickle) or anything a curry is supposed to have. It was raw chilli flavor with cashew paste as the base, little milk and tempering mix. The only think that was fine in my order was the garlic naan and white rice. Don't know how on Earth people gave 5* to this worthless place. Except the serve time, everything was a waste. Even they were overly priced for the QUALITY & QUANTITY served. Totally disappointed with my visit.!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Taste of the food: 1* Quality & quantity of the food: 1* Ambience: 2* Cleanliness:...
Read moreI've been to "O'Desi Aroma" a couple of times, and the food has consistently tasted great, earning a solid 4/5 from me till date. However, my recent visit was particularly memorable thanks to a new waitress who also doubled as the front desk assistant. She was exceptionally polite and made a fantastic suggestion: the "Dabba Chicken." It tasted absolutely amazing, and I loved it so much that it will probably become my go-to option.
The service was top-notch, thanks to this attentive and friendly new staff member. Her recommendation added a delightful twist to my usual dining experience. The tables were clean, though there was a slight dissatisfaction due to an oily, gummy touch on the surfaces. Despite this minor issue, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was cool and enjoyable.
It's worth noting that "O'Desi Aroma" is a bit on the expensive side, but the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere make it worth it. Special thanks to the new staff member for enhancing my dining experience with her excellent service and great food recommendation. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes, but the "Dabba Chicken" has certainly set a high bar for my...
