We came for Breakfast on a Friday morning. The employees are unfriendly and passive. The menu is limited and too expensive. They should consider placing and “order here” sign by the cashier, because if you stand anywhere else along the counter, the staff will completely ignore you. We were standing by the counter and asked them if we can order food , and the lady directed us 4 feet down toward the register (we were the only ones here) and then when we stepped over, she slowly walked over and acknowledged us and asked what we would like. There was only her working and the other employee was cooking on the other end of the short counter, she could have taken our order from anywhere! They charge so much for your food and they don’t even bring it to your table, they ask your name and call it out when the food is ready, and leave it on the counter and walk away. If you do come and eat here make sure you don’t use the Heinz ketchup packets, the ketchup is brown and old. Just such a bad vibe from this place. The only thing they has going for them is. the decor. The music is a little bit loud for the morning. Will not be...
Read moreThe service was good!!! don’t get me wrong but the prices are extremelyyyy outrageous! Coming from the main island and knowing that at a panadería you would pay maybeeee 18-20 dollars not even that for a few breakfast sandwiches with juices, you know coming here is a complete rip off & its mainly to take $$ from tourists since its one of the few breakfast shops. The sandwich was alright, it could have been way better for the price tbh.. I spent 40 dollars (it still hurts to say) on three sandwiches, 1 with just cheese, lettuce & egg & the other 2 with cheese, lettuce, egg & ham w/ 3 juices that were just pulpy juice you get at the supermarket (the juice wasn’t good) and one donut. When she said 40$ I literally couldn’t believe it…. Better go to the colmado (mini grocery store) thats two stores down & buy everything you need there! not only is it way cheaper but you can feed more people. Ended up going to the colmado & spent about 30 bucks on a big amount of groceries for lunch later that day (salami, cheese slices, bread, chips, water, juice etc) & didnt even reach the amount I...
Read moreWe ate here 3 separate times while visiting the island and it was wonderful each time! The sandwiches are DELICIOUS! Try the pancakes if you want something different -- they're dense in a good way and covered in some kind of coconut sauce. My sister described the inside as "super aesthetic" and I agree -- it's a nice place to take a lunch break. Another bonus: there's an ATM inside.
I saw some comments mentioning trouble with the staff, but they were always lovely and happy to help. I'm a vegetarian and they were able to make some basic changes for my orders. They can be busy in the morning (I think some locals get their "usual" before going to work; I could see someone mistaking that for jumping the line but it always seemed like they just had made their food ahead of time). Just be friendly and patient and you'll get...
