Changing my review for five stars to one star because RJ signed me up for nonexistent promotions and now I’m holding the bill for about 1000 bucks. I was told management would call me back and nobody has called. I’m being forced to escalate and I’ve literally made about 15 phone calls in the past two weeks about this. My stomach is in my feet.

We were optimistic that leaving At&t would make things easier. Your staff was friendly explaining the first responder discount. We explained how busy we are and that we had struggled with AT&T. My husband who works 48 hours a week at his fire department job also works the other 5 days a week full time somewhere else, and volunteers with Search and Rescue.

I take care of the household responsibilities, but for cell phones the first responder discount requires that he is the primary. It turns out that even when you show your union identification in person the discount drops off in 45 days If you don't catch that you need to follow up by sending your documents in again electronically your bill almost doubles. The notifications come to the primary and if you agree to paperless billing and automatic deduction it is very hard to notice when you are busy. They told us it may take a few billing cycles to get the free devices reimbursement squared away so we were not watching closely unfortunately. For 7 months we have been paying about $100 more than we are supposed to be. My husband ran over in person today and the store added his discount again. They did NOT explain that in 45 days it would drop again if he didn't also verify it electronically. I called customer service to find out why we lost our discount, with him in the room, tonight in order to find out how we lost out discount, and why we were not getting a credit for all the months we overpaid.

It was only after we got Destiny on the phone that we found out that the discount will keep falling off without the extra step. I can not believe that T-mobile is getting away with this predatory behavior. T-mobile encourages first responders over by promising a significant discount, they give another huge discount for paperless so it is harder to notice and track inconsistencies, and then they charge more if you don't do autopay. They pepper you with messages the first few months of opening your new account because there are so many things now tied to your package, AAA, Netflix, etc. And you are supposed to notice a text about additional employment verification that you did, in person, just the week before. This 100% feels like a trap set by corporate. I do not understand how no one at the store knows to tell customers to look for a message to download your credentials as additional verification to showing them in person. When you agree to a bill set up on Autopay with a rate for a package it is completely dishonest to wait 45 days and change it. This practice is preying on hardworking families specifically an occupation that works shift work. Most of us are trying to keep their heads above water with inflation. Corporate T-mobile you should be ashamed of yourselves. First responders work day and night and in the elements, while you sit back in your comfortable offices and develop schemes to trick them over and gouge them for hundreds of dollars they didn't agree to pay you. What a great way to show your gratitude.

I understand proving your employment in person, but it also seems like a huge security issue for our government when you take images of police and fire identification. It was absolutely illegal to photograph my husband's security badge when he worked on a federal base. Are your additional obstacles even legal?

First responders be on the lookout for additional employment...

If there was a way to put zero stars I would. I have been with mobile for years and have never ever had an awful experience until the other night. I came in around 7:20 pm (They close at 8pm). My s7 was broken and I asked if there was any hing they could do. Someone looked at it and said it was water damage (I knew this was not true) and said there was nothing that could be done. I asked if there was anyone else that xouo dbhave a clue behind helping me with my phone. A woman came over and immediately said it is not water damage. Either way they refused to help fix it. I still owned about 2 months on the payments for the device I said I really wanted my info switched over and they said it wasn't possible for them to do that. I bought a brand new phone, an s8. They were extremely unhelpful. And very unprofessional ie: male co-worker tickling female and flirting whike turning away from me whne i had questions.... Female (im assuming manager) has piercings on her face/ moth that shes loudly playing with, with her tongue and finger and then touching my new and old phone. I paid off my old phone with cash and asked about my new phone. They Wouldn't even let me see or touch the phone without buying it first. Unbelievable for a phone that costed me about a grand. I was the only customer and there were at least 4 employees playing and flirting with eachother etc. It was like being in high school. I had 3 or 4 different people help me and walk away and someone else came and took over. Very little eye contact and very little of my questions being answered by any of them. The issue with my old phone was that the screen was on lock mode and had some sort of interior damage which made it so i couldn't type in my password to unlock it. After getting home and talking with my friend they said that I can get it unlocked by my Samsung account which turned iut to be true so I would expect the mobile people would have been able to unlock my ohomw and help me transfer contacts. It appeared that they wanted to do as little work as possible and still make their paycheck. If I didn't have a vacation to go to first thing in the am i would have switched carrier as this experience was SO...

I really don't think I can recommend T Mobile anymore which makes me really sad. We were using Metro PCS and the service was horrible. So when we saw a T Mobile promotion at Costco we thought we would give it a try. At first everything seem to go so smoothly. We had coverage in Canada and Mexico which was what we needed. In addition, the sales person assured us our bill would always be the same unless we made international calls that were not covered. No prob. The next bill was not what it should be but I paid it thinking it was something leftover from start up. Turns out that the phone that was "free" in our promotion was actually $12.00 over the promotion limit. So instead of catching that, they just billed me. I went to the Issaquah store and the manager said he would credit that since it was their error in the first place. Great. Except he didn't credit it. So another trip to the store where they said they would have the manager get in touch. He didn't. On top of that, the sales agent, Aubrey, was so rude that I really think HR needs to send her to re-training. Ridiculous. In the midst of that mess, we went on a cruise and found out that T Mobile doesn't have coverage in Alaska. Alaska, USA. That's right. We were charged roaming while in the towns of Sitka and Juneau. Horrified at the bill I called T Mobile. They understood the confusion and said they would credit the roaming charges this time only. Ok, thanks. Is there a GOOD reason they don't buy time with the towers in Alaska? Certainly not because they cannot afford it. They are a multi-billion dollar company. Really stupid policy that is another unnecessary headache for customers. Unfortunately, I think we will need to find a...
