I was excited to sit down with the family and have some all you can eat fish. The first plate of cod was good, very little grease, crispy pieces. The next plate I asked for perch, that was not so good at all, very fishy smell and taste, it was also salty. Against better judgment, I asked for cod to replace the perch. That was a mistake, I'm pretty sure I started to shrivel up like a slug with salt poured on it. I'm talking there must have been a handful in the batter or something, that's all I could taste. Not only was it salty, the other pieces were chicken strips! Not what I wanted during lent on fish Friday. That wasn't the only downfall, our waitress must have checked out early. She took one drink order at a time, tried to serve our food across the big table, instead of walking around. We had to grab the plates so she wasn't just holding them up in the air wondering what to do. The best thing was the soup, salad and baked potato. So will see if I get the courage to give them...
Read moreWe ordered the special prime rib and I have to say it was not the worst I've had but I would probably opt for something else if we ever go back my son's girlfriend ordered the chicken strips and fries and absolutely loved her dinner we also ordered the most sticks which were amazing. The soup and salad bar was nice it is small but had great options and everything was wonderful. Our waitress was so wonderful she had a very bubbly attitude and was very tentative to everything. The atmosphere was pleasant and very quaint. The owners seem to interact well with the staff and have a very established place in their town. I do look forward to trying the breakfast menu as well as the fresh homemade...

My server was friendly and quick to take my drink order while I looked over the menu. I went with the hot turkey, and honestly, it hit the spot. The turkey was tender and juicy like it had been slow-roasted, and the gravy was rich and poured on generously—just how I like it. It tasted like something your grandma would make, in the best way.
Food came out fast (maybe 10 minutes), and everything felt freshly made. I didn’t try any sides or desserts this time, but I’ll definitely be swinging back through if I’m in Jackson again. Feels like the kind of place that doesn’t try to be trendy—it just does what...
