Very small and efficient family run lunch restaurant. I loved how small it was because the fan cooled the whole place and you could smell nothing but the great food. For downtown jackson the prices are good and you know they have real carribeans making the jerk because they do NOT play about the spice level. The rice n peas and cabbage make more than one meal even for a big man. Definitely worth the drive and price, so I will be back.

The cabbage was salty and crunchy , rice over cooked and the curry chicken didn’t have the flavor I’m accustom to. The plate has three sections and they only put food in two; really? For $10! They ran out of food so around 1pm you have to ask what’s available. The food didn’t have love in it, period. And it’s hotter in the restaurant than it is outside.

This was my first time in here. Super cool spot for a quick lunch. Really good food. I got the oxtail. Came stacked on a pile of rice with some beans in it. The gravy with the ox tail was absolutely delicious. Fine eating! But it's kinda a rough spot and if you're unfamiliar with downtown Jackson it may not be the place for you. But damn was it good

First off, I would drive by this establishment frequently when going downtown to the bank and wondered about the food here but always ended up eating somewhere else downtown because lets be honest, parking sucks downtown and you usually eat wherever you find a spot. No longer is that the case. This place is awesome. I had the Jerk Ribs today with cabbage and carrots. Amazing. Very hearty portions and the jerk flavor is really good. Authentic guys, authentic food, very much a must try. This is a place geared towards take-out. It is a little hole-in-the-wall place on Capitol street downtown but it is worth finding a parking space and picking up a to go order. This is now a permanent location on my places to eat list. Good change of pace from the...

My husband and I went out in search of nice Caribbean food, only to be sorely disappointed. I can make my curries and doubles a lot better than this at home! Doubles are not meant to be a sandwich! The food was not at all like we were expecting. Terrible, and I hate to break it to you all, this is not anywhere near Jerk chicken like they cook in the Caribbean! I should know since my husband is from there and I learned how to cook my own dishes from locals, his mom, etc. We will keep Searching, but do not waste your time! I’ll just make food at home for that price and...

First time trying "carribean" food, so I can't tell you if it's authentic, but it is very tasty. I had the Jerk Ribs with steamed cabbage & carrots + fried plantains. The guy serving the food ladled broth from what I believe was the oxtails over the cabbage, which was amazing. Ribs were very tender, but not mushy. The employees seemed less than enthused to be working, but weren't rude and were quick to complete my order (takeout).

Overall, I'd definitely go back. I can't remember the last time I've tried chewing through the bones for the last bit of...
