I was tired and hungry and went in for a late lunch (3:45 pm) on Memorial Day… and just a I was about to grab the handle to open the door, and employee inside flips the open sign to closed, with me less than two feet away. I thought to myself, nobody can be that rude, so I poked my head in the door and timidly asked if there’s room for one more, thinking that since I saw customers still inside, still eating… and because closing 15 minutes before the hour seemed a bit random… I rationalized that they must be actually closing at 4:00 pm. The girl who flipped the sign muttered something in response and then walked away, so I found myself asking a customer (who was exiting…) what she had just said and the customer — the customer — told me that she said yes, or something that sounded like that. By then, this person was back behind the counter… so I walked up to the counter and asked what was available, and quick, understanding that they were about to close… and she said everything is fresh and available, so I ordered a sandwich and a side of soup, and took a seat. The food arrived in a bag even though customers were still eating inside, so I asked if I can eat inside and she replied, “Only if you eat fast.“ That was the last straw. I asked to speak to the manager and she seemed to not know what to do about the rude person’s behavior but offer a “thank you” for alerting her to the situation. It was clear nothing was going to change and so I decided to just take my meal and eat outside, so as to not inconvenience them anymore than I now realized that obviously I already did, and so I ate in the 90+ degree sun, that was bearing down on the outdoor seating… and as I ate the sandwich as quickly as I could… I noted that the sandwich was decent, but the soup was cold and disappointing, but again I rationalized that maybe it was just as well since the hot sun was becoming unbearable and hot soup might not have been the best choice… but then I remembered I never planned on eating outside in the hot sun, so all the while I was shoveling my food down, I kept thinking how unsatisfactory the response was from the manager for the employees atrocious behavior, and decided the best way to deal with this behavior was to write a story of my encounter and give it to the internet. The truth is, if I wasn’t terribly hungry and on limited time to grab a bite, I would have given the food back and asked for a refund… but I generally like the food at Chicken Salad Chick, but on this occasion, I didn’t like the Chicken or the Chicks. I don’t plan on returning as the reality is that there are plenty of places to eat in the area… that actually appreciate their customers, and make an effort to show their appreciation with good service and good food, neither of which I received at Chicken...
Read moreChicken salad chick usually has the best customer service, the customer service to meet the chicken salad, AMAZING! Unfortunately, my husband and I went into chicken salad chick on Veteran’s Day to get the free meal, which was beyond generous;however, one of the cashiers, an older man with white hair, who worked at 12:00pm was the WORST!! We stood in line and watched him basically insult veteran’s with a snotty tone and basically demanding veteran’s to buy “something like dessert” because the mean was free!! I told my husband “I hope we get to go to the nice girl, she’s so happy, polite and instead of saying “ would you like to buy dessert or something since your meal is free” she would say “Thank you for your service, “happy Veteran’s Day!” This man made us feel like we were taking advantage of the restaurant or we shouldn’t have came in to accept the amazing offer! I left out of there feeling horrible and I told my husband why did he have to be our cashier? Why couldn’t we have the nice girl, the sad thing is we witnessed this mean do this to three people before us! He was RUDE! If Chicken Salad Chick didn’t want to give to veteran’s or they wanted veteran’s to buy something why didn’t they say this in the add instead of “no purchase necessary?” This was the WORST experience I’ve ever received from Chicken Salad Chick; I recently gave Chicken Salad Chick a five star review but it’s now only 1 star and that’s because of the food! This man should not work with the public, he doesn’t have people skills AT ALL! He ruins...
Read moreWe visited the Town Center location on Sat, July 26th. To say it was crowded and busy is an understatement. We walked in to very few tables being avail and a decent line of people waiting to order. The woman behind the counter taking our order was not polite (not rude either but seemed very flustered and "over it"). She took our order, informed me that one of the chicken salad scoops I ordered was not avail so I had to choose another (Barbie-Q was the one they were out of). She also stated they were out of tea and lemonade. This was disappointing but we made other food and drink selections. We found a table to sit at (it was dirty - receipt left on table, trash on table, clearly not wiped down, etc). We did not see a single employee wiping down tables during our visit. No one came to the table to ask how our food was - which they normally do. Our food was delivered (by the same woman that took our order) and she was a bit friendlier this time around. We did notice that single pack of crackers that were given to us were broken. This didn't bother us at all but it's rather difficult to eat with broken crackers. We normally love this location and never have an issue, but this last visit was...
