This review will specifically be for folks gauging how the ice cream will be when ordered through a delivery app. I've been trying various ice cream places in the area around me to see how delivery holds up. Unfortunately, every single time I've ordered from Cold Stone it has been a poor experience. I am specifically basing this on how orders from other ice cream places the same distance from me turn out and I'm focusing on issues that would most likely happen in-store. I also order from each ice cream shop several times in case I just get a bad driver or an order gets stacked. That way I can see if the issue is DoorDash, or the store.
I have ordered from this location through DoorDash four times. Every. Single. Time. My order arrives so melted that it's soup despite it only taking 10 minutes for my driver to reach me after pickup. Ice cream orders from shops the same distance never get to me melted like that. Not only are they terribly melted, but the cups leak and drip onto everything in the bag. I'm not sure if delivery orders are getting made before the drivers arrive, then left to sit on the counter or what. I initially assumed it was a DoorDash issue, but it happened three more times with three different drivers that didn't stack my order and all came straight to my house within 10 minutes after picking up my order.
My most recent order was a pint of cheesecake fantasy. When it got to my house, I opened the container to find that my order had been jammed into a much smaller container then placed inside the pint-sized container. The smaller container had a lid just kind of placed on top and there was liquid ice cream everywhere. I have no idea why this happened, but it was bizarre. Not only did they charge me for a pint then give me what looked to be a medium, they also left a massive mess for me to deal with when it got to me. I feel like that just shows genuine carelessness for customers that don't come into the store. I know how extremely busy Cold Stone gets, but customers ordering from home should be getting the same treatment I've read in the reviews from in-store customers. I'm really not one to complain about ice cream delivery, because I know full-well I can avoid the melting issue by just picking it up myself. However, there are plenty of measures that can be taken to make sure orders arrive with minimal melting and certainly less mess.
I'd give 5 stars because I love Cold Stone, but the consistent mishandling and messed up delivery orders prevent that. Avoid this place for delivery, you'll have a way better experience going to the...

Read moreI think I almost died looking at the young man grab my come with his bare hands. It took him forever to understand what I was saying. Then, after he gloves up and serves me he then proceeded to take my money...... he went to help the next customer with the same glove he held the cash with. Dear Lorrrd!!!!!
........
To your response :
I am not sure what you are trying to say. Instead of assuring me that it may have been a mishap and your worker will be spoken to, you are inclined to express your dissatisfaction with my experience. You dare question the validity of my experience.
If the cones your worker dealt with had a sleeve on, I wouldn't have been concerned. If after being in your store for a while I had seen your worker wash his hands, it also wouldn't have been a concern. If your worker removed the glove he finally adorned after dealing with my money before assisting the next patron or washing his hands at that time, then there also would not have been an additional concern.
Don't be defensive! Instead, try to improve the situation. This is about My experience, not yours. I visit your store at least once a week and also buy birthday cakes from you. All your workers should be consistent with providing the same great service that I experience weekly.
This was an isolated incident you should address and not condemn me for expressing my concerns and...
