The Avenues — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Avenues Mall Location. 1 star because I have to give at least 1 to review, second star is because the manager did give me a refund (I need to check my card to be sure, but let's say he did). Now, I need to say how excited and upbeat I was to find a Sbarro's Pizza, the first one at Jax Airport was a total dud, but now I had a second chance to get that great tasting pizza, I ordered 2 slices instead of 1, that was my first mistake. The slice was very small, not consistent with the Sbarro's slice model I have seen in other states. I chalked the mini slice up to inflation and cut backs, I proceeded to pay and head to a table in the food court. First bite: YUCK!! DOUBLE 🤮 YUCK!! I paused, collected myself and took another bite(second mistake) there was definitely something wrong with that Pizza, it had a rancid taste to it( I'm not sick now, nor did I vomit at the time) I decided I was going to take it back, so I took the full slice and bitten slice back to the counter. The young lady behind the counter told me in her best English she could not give me a refund, I left the food and kept the strawberry lemonade (it was awful as well, in fact it had the same taste as the pizza) I went and ordered from another place at the food court, sat down and took my time with the meal, when I finished, I returned to Sbarro's to inquire again about the refund, the manager didn't speak a single word but took my receipt and issued a refund. I cannot in good conscious, recommend anyone eat here...

The worst customer service experience today. I will NEVER go back. I have been a loyal customer ordering a whole pizza once a week for months now. I have been ignored when trying to order and experienced bad service but still continued to try. Today I asked 3 times if they were out of any toppings that I ordered. They said no, we have all toppings. So when my pizza was done it was missing a topping, (this has happened before) that is why I always ask. I was not happy and told the manager about it. I said they should have asked what other topping I would like to add or add extra of an existing topping, after all I am paying for 5 toppings. Instead he acted like he wanted me to pay full price and that it was not a big deal. He refused to give me half off and I didn't have another 20 minutes to wait on another. He then lied to me said could not give me a pizza that was already out(they have done it before) that looked so much better than the messed up one he was trying to sell me. He refused to accommodate me at all. This was the manager that worked between 4pm and 5:15pm at the Avenues today. How does he even have a job in the servicing industry? I see why this place has a 2.9 out...

This was one of the worst pizza I've had in a long time. Last Friday we tried to order on the phone , but it was busy. So my husband and I drove to the mall. I should have just turned around and left. But we ordered a pie.the nasty girl behind the counter was to busy talking on the phone so this young girl took the order and some young guy attempted to make the pie. We took the pie home. Uncooked , flat no thickness at all . So the next day I called the manager .he was very appreciative I called and said to stop by and see him. We'll I did today. He is a poor representative of this company. He wanted to argue with me after I showed him my picture. After doing some shopping I passed the pizza stand and there were no one behind the counter and customers trying to order...
