The best experience I could have hoped for!! My grandmother has bought me several pieces of jewelry from Helzberg over the years, so when my boyfriend (20) and I (21) were ready to look at engagement rings, this was the first place I wanted to look. We made an appointment to look at engagement rings with an associate (because we knew next to nothing about shopping for rings) on a Saturday afternoon, mid June. We walked in, told them we had an appointment and they took us back to the engagement rings in a quiet corner of the store. We said from the start that we weren’t buying anything that day and that it was our first day looking, so we would probably have a lot of questions. Samantha, Jeshua, and Alvan were INCREDIBLE. They asked about our love story, budget, and what we liked, and never made us feel like we were too young or that our budget was too small. They were never trying to sell us something, they were genuinely trying to figure out what we wanted. I really loved a 1 carat marquise but wanted to see a 3 carat for comparison, and when I tried on the 3, all of them agreed with me that it was too big for my finger and they put it away. They could have pushed a bigger, more expensive diamond for me but they didn’t because they really took into account what I was looking for. While I was trying to figure out what I liked, Alvan was helping my boyfriend learn all of his options for payment, what the process was like, and asked him more in depth about our love story. When I was curious about seeing a 1.5 carat diamond, they told me that they didn’t have any in stock, but could order me one to see. I guess my boyfriend and I looked panicked, because they ensured us it was a free service, and if we didn’t like the diamond they could just send it back. We agreed and thanked them profusely before we left. It was the single most magical experience and so much better than I was hoping.
A week later, my boyfriend and I came back to see the diamond that was ordered with Jeshua. He took us back to the private diamond room, explained to us everything about the diamonds, and told us what to look for. He placed the loose diamond in a setting for me and had me try it on and it was perfect. My boyfriend and I LOVED it! It was so sparkly and clear and just the right size for me. He even set up the 1 and 1.5 side by side so I could see the difference. We asked him about the timeline of buying and making the ring, and he answered all our questions easily and thoroughly. He eased any worries we had AND we ended up finding a gorgeous diamond that we loved for under half of our budget. We thanked Jeshua for all his help and he told us he couldn’t wait to see us back later this year.
My boyfriend is so excited to go back there to make and purchase my engagement ring later this year. We will be Helzberg customers for life. They were attentive, kind, knowledgeable and didn’t try to sell us. It felt more like friends talking than salespeople. Read moreI’d like to start off my review by saying my sister got her wedding ring from here as well as her husbands. They have never had great customer service and always been a little rude but it went to a whole new level today. My sister took me in here to see if I liked any of the Jewelry in the Disney collection. She was thinking of buying me something from there for my birthday and just wanted to see if anything stood out to me. We entered the store and one guy was fairly polite and asked if we needed help or anything. My sister replied and just said we’re just looking at the Disney jewelry for me and that was the end of that. As we’re looking at the jewelry and discussing an older female employee behind the counter loudly and pretty much screaming says “can I help you” because I guess we didn’t here her the first time according to her. My sister then replied “no thank you, we’re just looking ”. My sisters voice can come out a little more louder than any other person because she is hard of hearing but this somehow angered the older woman very much because she then very rudely said “ then you can leave.” It made no sense that she asked us to leave after that exchange and of course upset my sister. My sister and her got into it a bit and we just decided to leave. The rest of the employees just sat there staring at there co-worker attack two loyal customers and said nothing. I would recommend never coming here. When you are trying to spend your money you would think the employees would at least have the bare minimum of politeness but no. This place honestly is terrible and I and my sister will not be going back. Apparently your not allowed to just look around quietly. Good luck getting customers with that kind of attitude.
