So, for context, my wife and I were invited to Le Crepes through some recent acquaintances, though none of us had been there before. We were somewhat surprised when we pulled up to the location and realized that it was in a mall, because the pictures didn't really give that impression. However, we decided to give it a chance and we were really glad that we did!
So to set the record straight, this "restaurant" is really more of a mall kiosk that serves amazing crepes. If you are looking for a sit-down restaurant experience with servers and booths and whatnot this is not that place - there are four stool chairs and a bar-type counter to eat at, so there isn't much in the way of seating.
This is, however, not intended to bode ill for the quality of the food. While we were here, we were served by a very nice, attentive cook who I assumed was the owner of the establishment. He personally cooked our crepes and they were truly delicious. This stand serves a wide variety of crepes which generally break down between sweet and savory. My wife and I split one of each because we couldn't decide which kind we wanted.
The sweet crepes are made with peanut butter, chocolate spread, nutella spread, or other types of sugary mediums which can be served with fruits or nuts or other complementary ingredients. We personally went with a nutella-banana dessert crepe and it was indeed as delicious as it sounds. I've also heard good things about the nutella and mascarpone (cream cheese) crepe, which even the owner said was one of his personal favorites.
The savory crepes are typically mozzarella cheese with a selection of bacon, ham, or Turkey, and a savory spread to go along with it. My wife and I went with Bacon, Mozzarella, and Artichoke spread. It is difficult to describe the taste, but it worked shockingly well.
The stand also serves a variety of hot drinks, including coffee and hot chocolate (which I had). The stand may serve teas as well, but I didn't make a mental note of it.
Overall, my experience at Le Crepes was overwhelmingly positive, which was due to a combination of the owner's charm, the delicious food, and the company of friends. If you don't mind venturing through the mall to get there, I recommend you...
Read moredid not have the best experience, the barista tried to tell us that a latte and a cappucinno are the same thing?? also forgot the sugar that we asked for, made us put it in ourselves, crepe was kinda overcooked.. had to specifically ask for a double shot coffee, all of the coffee was single shot .. made us all feel sick afterwards. tasted fine but probably wont come back
edited after owners reply: previously three stars, now one star. pretty ridiculous the amount of assumptions the owner has made against me. for one, yes, i understand that a cappuccino and caffelatte are different - if the owner had read my review right, i was commenting on how the employee was trying to tell me they were THE SAME. we ordered two lattes and one cappuccino, to which the employee said “okay so three lattes?” and tried to explain to us that they were the same. Additionally, it is common in most coffee shops to have double shot. at least have it listed somewhere that your coffees are regularly single shot. once again, the owner obviously did not take any time to read my review right as they incorrectly quote me (“the crepes a little dry”). What i said was the crepe was overcooked. And not for the reason the owner said. The owner claims it is because i asked for too many toppings. WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED- i asked for only two!! Just cinnamon and sugar. Perhaps the least amount and smallest toppings possible. It was overcooked because the employee making our crepe was on the phone while cooking it and probably not paying attention. Pretty disappointed the owner obviously does not care for their customers. Do not come here unless you want to feel...
Read moreThe good part is always first. Good flavor for at the moment made crepes. We went two times very far from the Avenues Mall, and the second time, the lady ( for sure the owner), was unfortunately in a terrible mood, she was alone doing everything ( I understand that), but I never treated my customers bad, even when I was alone attending more than 7 customers simultaneously, with 4 types of different food services made at the moment, and I never was frustrated with our loyal and returning customers. It was a loud environment inside the mall, all the chairs were all busy, so we sat at the front chairs, and she said that called us, but we didn't hear, and gave us cold crepes, with a very angry and stubborn attitude ! What I did, if I was her, is go to the customer and give in their hands the warm food, as I always did, no matter how many customers I had. All customers deserve respect, before and after paid. We hope she changes this attitude for good, to take advantage of the nice crepes, because other customers, perhaps, are less relaxed and...
