Wawa — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I stopped in today and ordered 2 iced coffee drinks. I waited for nearly 45 minutes and after finally getting my drinks I realized that one was definitely made incorrectly. You could tell by the color that it was not made with a "regular" amount of milk like I ordered and it was also the wrong size. I would have been paying for the bigger size even though I didn't get it. I also realized that ine of my drinks was the drinks we saw sitting on the counter for over 20 minutes so by the time I was given it not only was it made incorrectly but it was gross because all the ice cubes had melted.

I did kindly explain the issue with a staff member and she told me, "what do you want me to do about it, it looks to me like it's what you ordered." I said it wasn't and she said, "well I am not remaking it". I gave her both drinks and said I would not be buying either. She was incredibly rude. Not only did she have an attitude but she kept rolling her eyes.

The wait time was horrendous. They should definitely have something posted with an approx wait time so you can know if you have enough time to wait on drinks and/or food.

My husband got a hot coffee that was burnt and tasted horrible. It was thankfully free because at almost $2.50 it's a huge rip off.

The time I went was not insanely busy either. Waiting for a reasonable amount of time is not a big deal, however, they were taking forever because they kept running out of stuff and taking forever to deal with that. Also, there was one women (the same rude women we dealt with) that was literally doing nothing. Check your cameras, she wandered around the whole time we were waiting doing nothing. At least the other staff were polite and working to get things done.

*Please put up an approximate wait time for drinks and food.

*Consider not having people on your payroll that are literally contributing NOTHING.

*Staff has no reason to be nasty to customers and refuse to make a drink correctly.

Wawa is truly not worth the insane wait times, the fact that there is no organized waiting system so it's just people pushing and standing everywhere and you cannot get through. Definitely a safety hazard. The terrible customer service is the main reason we will...

While it is nice to have a good piece of home close by now, this store is very much subpar and it is evident that the right personnel were not brought in to open or run this store. Which should have been a top priority with the amount of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and other northeastern natives that reside in the area and were drooling over Wawa finally coming to Jacksonville. It’s a good thing this stores staff is not working stores in places like Camden, north Philly or DelCo. Efficiency and getting it right would be something they learn though. Seasonal coffee is not put out in the carafes in the time established by corporate, items are not forecasted for restock, kitchen items are so-so and apparently can’t be forecasted to stay in ready supply to make items. How are you consistently out of things like plain bagels and scrambled eggs for sandwiches by 9:30am? I can only hope that gobblers are introduced in this store when they are supposed to be and that this store doesn’t ruin those too. Or maybe it’s Jacksonville, NC doing what it does and ruining things without the need to change due to the high percentage of transient population in the area. I will say if you’re one of the many new Wawa patrons, do not judge the brand...

Relatively clean store, however I waited 30 or more minutes on food 3 items. It was somewhat busy , i had to remind them that I was waiting on food that had been sitting on the counter for who knows how long. The employees were nice however it took them about 7-8 minutes to bag food that was already ready sitting in front of them. The food was bad I wasn’t expecting amazing since its a gas station but at least something close to sheetz or similar to any fast food place. I hate to give a bad review for such a new place but thats insane, 30 minutes for $24 3 items of food tasted bad, I cant even bite through chicken and was cold. Would not recommend the food I will try out the coffee if anything next time hopefully that will be the one good thing about it besides having a convenient self check out area. Iced coffee machine was down tonight and thats about all I drink so.. Im hoping this saves it for me because Jacksonville rarely gets in newer larger...
