I recently had the opportunity to visit shake-Shack and I was eager to see what the buzz was all about. As a burger enthusiast(I love a good burger), I approached the experience with high expectations, and I’m pleased to say that my experience was wonderful.
Ambiance: Upon entering, the atmosphere that struck a balance between casual and inner city suburbia. The decor was modern yet comfortable, with an appealing mix of booths and communal seating. The restaurant also has quick and easy to use kiosks for a quicker service.
Service: The staff were attentive, and hands on, which significantly enhanced my visit. While I was waiting for my meal, I was greeted by a maintenance or service worker who had a great attitude and personality. I apologize for not remembering the associates name, but she was an older woman of a shorter stature and of Caucasian decent. I appreciated her enthusiasm for the conversation, as I believe that it is these kinds of workers that make these establishments great and wholesome.
Food Quality: I opted for the black truffle cheeseburger, accompanied by a side of cheese fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, with 3 juicy patties that was well-seasoned and flavorful. The toppings were fresh, and the combination of melted cheese and crisp onion straws created a delightful texture. The cheese fries were simple. A bit thick for a sauce but well—crispy on the outside and tender inside, they paired beautifully with the burger. Surprisingly, the strawberry lemonade was very plain and bland, definitely a popular menu item should be improved on. Overall, the quality was fresh and the meal was enjoyed.
Value: Considering the quality of the food and the overall experience, I found the prices to be reasonable but still pricey(like everything else in this bloody country). Everything is also à la carte, so be prepared to purchase your items individually. Portion sizes were generous, making it a worthwhile indulgence.
Overall Impression: My first experience at shake shack was enjoyable and satisfying. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming environment made it a great outing. I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu with my wife and share this so called “popular eating establishment” with friends. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a great...
Read moreNestled in the bustling St. John's Town Center, Shake Shack offers a delightful fast-casual dining experience that stands out for its friendly service and inviting atmosphere. The staff here exudes warmth reminiscent of beloved chains like Culver’s and Chick-fil-A, bringing your food directly to your table for a seamless dine-in experience.
When it comes to the menu, I dove right into the Black Truffle Shroom Burger, and it did not disappoint. This burger features a cheese-stuffed mushroom patty that boasts a perfectly crispy exterior, beautifully complemented by a rich truffle sauce. The flavor profile is impressive, making it a standout option for any burger enthusiast.
Next up was the Smoke Stack Burger. While it packs a bit of heat, I found it lacked depth, with the peppers overpowering the overall flavor. Unfortunately, the bacon got somewhat lost in the mix, which was a disappointment given its potential to elevate the burger.
The Bacon Cheese Fries were another story. Priced at nearly $8, I expected a more generous portion and higher-quality ingredients. The crinkle-cut fries reminded me of Culver’s, but the cheese sauce and bacon felt more akin to typical fast food offerings, leaving me wanting more in terms of taste and value.
On a sweeter note, the Cookies and Cream Shake caught my attention. While the 16 oz size for $7 felt a bit steep, the flavor was exceptional, easily ranking among the best fast food shakes I've ever had. It’s creamy, indulgent, and worth every sip.
Lastly, I tried the Tropical Kiwi Lemonade, which was a refreshing highlight. It struck the perfect balance of flavor—not too sweet—and was enhanced by fresh-cut fruit that added a delightful touch.
In summary, Shake Shack at St. John’s Town Center delivers a charming dining experience with standout items like the Black Truffle Shroom Burger and Cookies and Cream Shake. While some dishes could use a bit of refinement, the overall atmosphere and service make it a worthwhile stop for anyone craving quality fast food...

Was excited to try my first time at a Shake Shack! I ordered a Smokehouse Burger and Parmesan Truffle Fries.
Smokehouse burger came out with UNCOOKED bacon on it. To be clear, I’m sure it’s the precooked bacon like you buy in a store, but it was completely fat and rubbery. The picture shows mouth watering crisp bacon, they hit us with the Ol’ bait and switch. My dog wouldn’t even it it.
The fries came out not very warm, and to my biggest surprise; had zero essence of anything related to truffle on them. It was just the same crinkle fries my fiance got, but with a light dusting of tasteless Parmesan. From the picture (though I probably shouldn’t trust it based off the burger) it looks like there may have been a Truffle Sauce they forgot to put on my fries.
If you read this, please do yourself a favor and walk next door to Ted’s Montana Grill for a proper burger. If you don’t feel like having a sit down meal, there’s a Five Guys, BurgerFi, and many other burger places all within 4 minutes of this Shake Shack that have proven themselves superior.
Aside from the fact Google requires you to give one star, I still would give them at least a star because the burger patties themselves didn’t taste bad, but again you’ll have a better experience at the above mentioned alternative...
