I’m not a picky person by all means and hardly ever complain about anything but the experience I had the other day was just awful. I was really contemplating on whether I even wanted to say anything about the whole situation because it’s just so ridiculous but I just don’t want anyone to go through what I went through because it was just so embarrassing. I’m hoping they read this and just see where I was coming from and I hope they don’t do this to another one of their customers because it was just so rude and unprofessional. I ordered a burrito with no jalapenos because I have GERD and am pregnant and I just can’t do spicy things or my chest will be on fire the rest of the day. I drove back to my work and took a bite to find jalapenos in it. I was super sad because although it was amazing I just knew it wouldn't be worth eating so I called them back to see if I could order another one. I apologized about 100 times about the inconvenience and explained about the whole acid reflux thing. She first tried to explain to me that if I didn't want jalapenos I should have mentioned that to them and I told her that I did and that it showed on the receipt they gave me. She asked for my ticket number so I gave that to her and she saw that it did show no jalapenos. So she spoke to the cook and the entire time I was on the phone I could hear the cook arguing with the waitress saying that it was made without jalapenos. She eventually just told me to come back so that they could look and see for themselves. So I drove all the way back there and opened it up to show her that they were really there and that I wasn't lying. Again I apologized about another 100 times. I also suggested to her that instead of just throwing the burrito away and just wasting perfectly good food I could just take it with me and just give it to my husband who loves spicy things. She told me she would have to ask the cook. She gave me my new order and told me to wait while she asked him if I could take the other burrito with me. So I sat down and waited for her. When she asked him he very rudely told her no and just looked at me like I was a burden or something. So the poor waitress had to come over to me and tell me that I could take the new burrito they made but I would have to leave the old one with them because the investigator needed to inspect it and make sure there was really jalapenos in there..?? I kind of laughed at the whole silliness of the whole situation and for what she said and told her that it was sad that the food was just going to go to waste and just said thank you anyways and to have a good day. When I walked out to my car I was just so upset that they made me out to be like a liar trying to get free food and that wasn’t the case at all! Any other place would have just said “We’re sorry about the inconvenience thank you for coming back please just take the other burrito for your troubles We were just going to throw it away anyway”
Before I got in my car I just thought about everything and decided to go in there one last time just for the cook to open it up and see that it in fact was his mistake and that I was not lying. As soon as I walked in as expected I got evil eyes from all of them but again I was as nice as I could have possibly been through the whole ordeal. Sure enough they found them in there but this time the cook didn’t look my way haha. I’m sad to say that I will never come to this place ever again and will not recommend them to anyone I know. Besides their burrito being super greasy it was actually pretty good but beware of burping Mexican food for the next...

HORRIBLE SERVICE !!! If I could give it zero stars I would . I have been in NC for 6 years and I have gone there a couple of times , but the service now is horrible, Tonight I went there ... first we sat down it took 20 minutes to even get acknowledged . Then when we got acknowledged . The waitress literally said to us “quick because I have tables .” Like seriously ?? That’s so rude . We went there for a reason but how rude she was to us is unbelievable. As if we’re not paying for a service . You should be thankful the place is full, but you want to treat your customers like that ... With a service like that people shouldn’t bother going there. Then we were trying to order . We were asking her what they had to drink .. then she kept saying “ we don’t have that , we don’t have that either.” She kept saying it with a sense of urgency and an annoyed tone . Then, she said “well y’all can see what’s in the fridge and grab it yourself .” She took the order and walked away . We looked at each other in shock of how disrespectful she was towards us . We decided to leave the restaurant because of the service . We would have waited if her attitude and service was different . If the server can’t handle a couple tables, then the owners should hire more servers or get someone new who has manners and can handle the job . Finally , we let her know we were leaving . I’m never coming back to...

The food was okay, I ordered Carne asada/ Chorizo burrito with everything in it. My burrito had more rice then meat, was supposed to have avocado sour cream and cheese in it. And the only thing I saw was a little slice of avocado. While waiting for our food there was a baby roach that crawled behind me on the booth, but we are in Jacksonville so I didn’t trip that bad about a roach it’s kind of hard to avoid them. when looking at the condiments on the table the Tajin Bottle expiration date said 2017, which by looking at it I told my husband it looked expired before I looked at the date. I wanted to give this place a try because I’m from San Diego California and the restaurant kind of gave me a taco shop vibes. Based off of the reviews I wanted to try the food, the flavor was okay but I feel like the meat had to already be cooked because it came out way to quick For two burritos especially for mine being chorizo and CarneAsada, so that let me know he just reheated what they already had cooked. I probably won’t be eating here again and stick to the Mexican places I already eat at because you do pay for what you get here in JV is what...

I've come to the realization that we should seek out what truly satisfies our taste. I've found a hidden Mexican Gem and I'm just now sharing. I've been sneaking in and out for a few months. I speak zero Mexican but im not there for conversation just the Sopes and what I have named 2 day Burritos. The waitress and cashier(all in one) is adorable. She has broken English but she taught me the correct way to say Sopes and I've mastered it. The cooks are making eye contact in between their preparation behind the empty but big food chiller. But you can see they are serious about the preparation. I'm not sure who's more curious them or me. But I do know they step up the taste each time I return. Because I obviously didn't select the correct toppings my first time. Now I say 3 Sopes and I minus nothing. The momma back there simply prepared it the way it's supposed to be eaten and well it's worth a continued return. I think ill grab a few sisters one day and bring them along.

The food was just okay. The service was good. The facility was pretty rough. The seats were torn through, wires popping up into your butt. Horrible. The prices were trending - which considering the facility level of care and qualityof food, the prices were way too high for the way it is [not] taken care of. There was a hair in the nachos too. We spent $75. The chicken in the tacos was dry and chewy. The nachos had the fake cheese, not real cheese. The drinks were bottles, so no refills but for the same price as a place that gives refills. Probably not go there again.

When you want authentic tacos, look no further. 4 people eating (2 of them being hungry Marines who hadnt had sit down Mexican food in over 8 months). Picture is of my tacos (tripa and al pastor) which were excellent. But girls had tacos de asada, torta de carnitas and other items along with rice and beans. All were really good and authentic.
