Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Jeffersonville

The ice cream was good however service was not. When we got in line there were about 6 people in front of us so it took a few minutes as expected. There were 2 girls working & one would not stop talking. Every customer she helped she would start making their order then say " Wait, I forgot did you want this or that?" Once it was time for us to place our order the one who couldn't seem to remember anything decided to first get on her cell phone then take the trash out & stayed gone until my group of 3 was paying for our order. When she came back she just kept moving stuff around and not helping the next 5 or so customers who were in line behind us. While we were there both employees were back & forth between making orders & cash register & at no time did either think it would be a good idea to wash their hands or put gloves on after touching money and going back to making orders. Sure they may not be touching the ice cream but if you get a cone or waffle bowl they sure are touching those & that is gross! If they are touching money then making orders & touching customers cones right in front of a huge line then who knows what they are doing when no one is watching! Also there is a lot of waste going on, every time someone asked for a topping they would get a spoonful & walk over to the trash can to sprinkle it on the ice cream so that more wound up in the trash then anywhere else. I would think the best way for that is to sprinkle it over whatever the topping is that way so much isn't wasted but I guess that doesn't make any sense. If we did decide to try this place again it will definitely be a good while due to the fact one girl doesn't even want to work & neither know how to wash...

I absolutely hate to leave a negative review esp bc this was our first time at this location but I only am doing so in hope that someone takes the opportunity to improve and train staff. 4 people behind the counter working which I thought was great( 2 girls at first then 2 boys out of the back came in a little after we arrived) 1 person assisting people in line. I think one more person making online orders and 1 person making cones plus one guy walking around hanging around doing not sure what other than hanging out. Going to the creamery takes time bc they hand mix and that gets tiring which is fine! There was no help for the girl helping the line. Not even any eye contact from any other workers or a friendly we will be right with you. Just kids working there with no inclination how to provide any service( other than the gal w glasses making the ice creams for the line). Other people have now entered the store so the line is forming… I go to the bathroom there is no soap to wash my hands so I use my own hand sanitizer. I let the guy who is roaming around know that the women’s restroom is out and he replies with a big smile “yeah, there no soap in any bathrooms!” I paused and replied well I hope you have soap for your hands and he just shrugs. This guy is touching the cones that the other co worker made a his bare hands. The woman who was behind me is now gawking at what’s happening behind the counter and I just thought yep ok not just us thinking this is a bit of a mess here. I know these are kids but I cannot go back...

I went here 2 times, exactly a month apart. The first time they said their credit card machine was not operating correctly, we said no problem, we have cash. They then said they couldn't take cash either. They said so we and a large line of people had to leave. When we came back a month later they had 4 people working behind the counter and only 3 people in the store besides my wife and son. Ordering did not go well. The staff was not well trained and knew nothing about their products and menu offerings. I ordered from the menu, and they didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about so I pointed to the item on the menu as well as pointed to the waffle bowl that was dipped in chocolate around the rim that I wanted my German chocolate cake ice cream to be placed in. Ultimately, somehow they gave me my ice cream in a cup instead of the waffle bowl. Compared to other Stone Cold creamery locations, the ice cream was not good. If we decide to go back, I do not think it will be anytime soon. Our son was the only one who was happy with...
