Our Hero — Restaurant in Jersey City

I am unapologetic for what I'm about to say. Unfortunately, I had bad experiences at this Deli because of the meat cutter(butcher) insensitive, rude, and bias comment. However, I order from the Meat Cutter ½ sandwiches for someone and also myself. Next the lady who prepare the sandwiches kindly ask what's my desire toppings and I happily responded extra mayonnaise and ect. Then Meat Cutter(Butcher) stop what he was doing and rudely said; "That is so unhealthy" and I responded are you paying for this? No, I am! Yet, he didn't respond and took the next customer. Whereas, the next customer was a young caucasian (white women) who order was similar to mind but order extra cheddar cheese on both sandwiches. I didn't once here him say unhealthy and a rude comment to her and I was upset Eventhough, I was embarrassed, in a state of shock, and felt uncomfortable I waited patiently to pay while I was pray. Yet my grandchild cheerful little voice asking for chips put a smile on my face but I said no we get them elsewhere. My daughter found this little sandwich shop living in JC while attending NYU. This place gave her so much joy while going through grad school. She took her twin brother and me to her favorite sandwich place. This place did NOT disappoint. The sub was just as I remembered NJ subs from my childhood to be, DELICIOUS. The kitchen area was clean (even the sneeze guard was immaculate) and well organized. The owner recognized my daughter and started on her order right away.
