EDIT: 9/12/24 I froze the rest of this pizza because I wasn't going to throw out something I paid over $20 for and I am seriously impressed at how deeply horrible it is. I tried adding sauce and cheese and the bad taste just comes through. Also, how does a pizza get chewy after being reheated. Seriously, I am baffled at what the guy who cooked it could have done to make this amazingly disgusting pie. Astounding.
Disappointing. There’s a surprising dirth (lack of, for those of you challenged by big words) pizza parlors in the Bergen/west side neighborhood of JC. I took a walk a half mile to try this pizza. It smelled promising, so I ordered a pie to go, with onions and, I thought GREEN peppers. I specifically asked for the veggies to be sliced cause that’s how they should be served on pizza: sliced. While waiting for my pie there was the usual requisite junkie in the store, and as a bonus! An obnoxious preteen child who thought mocking everything I said was cute? Until I suggested his behavior was a result of Turrets; like maybe you got a tic kid, that makes you repeat everything? Got the pizza. Walked it home. Took a bite. Pretty much the least delicious pizza I’ve ever had. How do you make a bad pizza? I’m seriously curious. Also-veggies not sliced; chunks. Also, barely any sauce. Also, WHY IS MY VEGGIE PIZZA SPICY?????? Did this cool use jalapeños? 10/10 cannot recommend unless you’re absolutely desperate for pizza and want to pay $3 for a slice, which you may be since there’s a dirth of pizza parlors in JC. Also, $4/...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. They just lost a frequent customer due to incompetence and bad business. Within an $80 order, I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich in focaccia. We get a message from Slice (horrible app) that our order was altered as we are on our way to pick up, but we have no idea what it was. We were informed that the whole sandwich was taken off the order when we got there.
These fake Italians did not have the common sense to just put the Buffalo chicken on another type of sandwich, which they have plenty of options for. And did not have the common courtesy of calling to see if we wanted to substitute. It just makes no sense how they handled this.
Then I asked how long to make a Buffalo chicken wrap instead and they said 30 min, without even offering to hurry up or anything, which is a ridiculous wait time for their screw up.
Safe to say that I will not be ordering from this mediocre pizza place again. We ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza last weekend and it was very dry and not very good. I figured I give the place another chance because I have had great food from this place in the past and now this happens.
The buffalo chicken pizza we got today was also very mediocre. Dry with not much chicken. Their cooks are better at frying frozen mozzarella sticks then making any pizza. I recommend hiring new cooks and more competent staff.
There are way better pizza places then Prince of Pizza. The fact that they call themselves the Prince of pizza with the best pizza in town is laughable.
Careful what you order....
Read moreWe usually order pizza from here, but today we decided to try some of their other options and it just definitely wasn’t it. We made a pickup order for only an eggplant Italiano hero and an eggplant parm with fettuccine at 4:30pm. They said it’ll be ready in 25 minutes, but when we got there, we still had to wait. We saw them bringing in some inventory, so I can understand if you’re busy, but at least let us know if you ran out of something. Maybe we could’ve just changed our order before I paid. I know you’d be risking a customer to cancel completely, but better to be open and honest to keep your customers than to just make us wait for an unknown amount of time. We didn’t leave there until almost 6pm! That’s what the initial issue was until we got home. Once we got home and started eating, my boyfriend found a piece of plastic in his sandwich! It had to be some part of a device or something because there was a lock depicted on it. Now for my food, it first looked appetizing on the top, but I was definitely deceived when I dug in. It was so bland and the sauce wasn’t even sauce; it was more so pasta water with a dash of tomato sauce. It was runny and unseasoned. Regardless if you’re running behind, quality should still be up to par. We definitely couldn’t finish anything. Very...
