Chicken Delight — Restaurant in Jersey City

I came here on a Friday night and ordered a 8 piece bucket with fries. It came to about $25 total. The staff was very friendly and courteous with me during the order. I had to wait about 10 minutes which was great, because that means they actually made the chicken fresh. I also noticed a sign "no trans fat used" for their cooking. The chicken came out piping hot. I love the hot sauce they have, because it's not typical hot sauce. It's a just a tad sweet and not as runny as typical hot sauce, but gave a great taste to the chicken. The fries were great as well. Now, let's get to the chicken. This was some of (If not the best) fried chicken I've had. This is coming from someone who has been at Kennedy's fried and other chicken spots all over NY. The chicken wasn't old, it was very juicy and the thighs had a LOT of meat. The chicken wasn't greasy or soaked in oil. The coating was delicious and flavorful. The rolls were AMAZING and not the typical Kennedy rolls. My mother loved the chicken so much, while driving to our next destination, we had to switch seats so that she could eat some more . I've been a longtime fan of Chicken Delight, always far far superior to other chicken staples like Popeye's or KFC. Adding my review for this location after my order yesterday for their chicken bucket special ( with fries, cole slaw and rolls ) as well as some chicken sandwiches I ordered for visiting friends

Everything was delicious as usual !! Chicken was flavorful, moist inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, remains my favorite choice for chicken

The gentleman who delivered was friendly and pleasant. I joked with him on how much quicker the delivery took than I expected. Just moved to the neighborhood and have been eyeing this place. They have a sign outside their business advertising the fish sandwich-i was intrigued. Went there a few days ago, and hoonneeyy! The menu was extensive, the staff was patient & kind, & the atmosphere professional. i ordered the fish and chips. Omgoodness, i almost bit my finger!!! Personally, i thought the prices were reasonable, however, after eating the fish, i will continue to appreciate the prices by leaving 20% or more in gratuity. Well deserved 👏🏽.
